Cool Design

The Coruscant Guard Gunship is a cool ship, however the commander fox minifigure is completely inaccurate. The chest printing is somehow completely wrong, and the printed and not physical waist cape describes The Lego Group's declining quality over the years. The other minifigures look great, although Padame's chest print is incorrect from the clone wars, it looks fine. The Ship is designed well except for one thing: the ball turrets on the wings. The fact that Lego could not sacrifice an extra dollar of profit per ship to include printed clear plastics turrets and not the stud shooters is disappointing.

Pretty good despite its flaws

Overall I think this set is super fun, and as a collector is definitely worth it if you have missed out on the previous gunships. My only complaint would be that on my model in particular it seems the ball turrets at the front do not want to stay connected when moving them around which I hope will go away with time. Overall a 9/10!

Commander Fox 2008 & 2023 end Star Wars

This set means I get to position Commander Fox doing the “wait, it’s all Palpatine?” “always has been” meme so 10/10 for that. The colors make it stand out for sure. While the doors nor minifig printings aren’t canonically accurate, I do enjoy the set and the build was not as repetitive as I was expecting. I wish the interior was bigger and it’d be cute if there were handholds, but Lego does tend to skimp on Star Wars sets because they still sell (unfortunately it works).

Sub-par design

My son wanted this because it is a gunship which he could buy with his own money and was readily available. After looking at build instructions for the 2013 republic gunship, I told him I would try to add turrets to the wings so he went forward with the purchase. I made modifications to create double doors, add turrets on wings and cargo to look and function like the 2013 republic gunship, and a simple command station - now it has much better play experience and overall look. The spud turret is a good idea but should have been integrated under the wing and coupled with functioning wing turrets (this is what i did). The wings need to be widened by 2 spuds to create the hole for the minifig. The height profile is 2 spuds too short - the cargo turrets from 2013 almost swing inside. The interior space has plenty of spuds for minifigs but the opening is too narrow to easily fit a closed hand through (i.e. holding a minifig between finger and thumb) - converting to double-doors helps. The front cargo space is odd - a minifig can sit but the entire head is blocked by the door when open - increasing the height by 2-4 spuds would help. The design for the ball turrets at the front works well to keep them on. The back opening is just asking for a speeder bike to be included but really i would prefer the above mods over a single speeder. The low sticker count is nice. It is great to see Padme in a set again but more troopers should have also been provided at the price (especially given the design choices) The Commander Wolf figure is...unfortunate - the printing which is supposed to be white are pink on the helmet and torso. I can accepting the printed kama (barely), the poor coloring is shameful. If it had the mods to give better play experiences, it would be priced correctly. As is, the mods were almost as much as the set (I could have done for less but only by half). I have ordered replacements for Wolf and Lego has always been good to me. I hope they reduce the price to allow people to afford this plus after-market parts for mods.

Cool looking gunship!

I just collected Lego Star Wars again this past year and this is the first gunship I built. This looks really cool. The red white color combination is great. The build is really solid and the handle reminded me of my old Lego republic frigate. This is a solid build, I can swoosh with no problem and it’s also looking really good on display.

Gunship

Dissapointed compared to the 2013 gunship, it’s smaller, is missing figures like pilots, and has no seperatist droids to use with it. Also missing features of the previous gunship set like the speederbike and has no ball turrets which are one of the cooler features of this ship.
Fun set to build but for the hefty price tag it should have more figures and definitely come with some more internal/external items
