A blast from the past!

Missed out on the opportunity for a Republic Gunship years ago. I went ahead and ordered this set to fulfill my childhood. The design is smaller than past sets, but it will still satisfy a lot of customers. Do not pass this one up!

Disappointed

Bought this as the gunship has always been one of my favorite ships in star wars. But this was disappointing compared to the older one I had as a kid. The size is much smaller and is a lot more expensive then the previous version it also has way less playable features then the older one. The minifigures are all cool but for the same price as last year's lego ATTE the amount of minifigures is far greater for the same price in the ATTE. If this was closer to 100 and not 140 I would of liked this alot more but the size and minifugure amount is very disappointing for the price. I would recommend anyone looking at getting there kids a big lego star wars set this holiday season to go for the ATTE instead due to the higher minifigure amount(especially if they like clone troopers) and more playability that sets has compare to this set.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Excellent build

The build on this set is perfect for intermediate builders like myself. I have built 4 UCS and the coliseum but still consider myself an intermediate. Love the colors and very durable set. Something all Star Wars fans can enjoy.

Cool looking gunship!

I just collected Lego Star Wars again this past year and this is the first gunship I built. This looks really cool. The red white color combination is great. The build is really solid and the handle reminded me of my old Lego republic frigate. This is a solid build, I can swoosh with no problem and it’s also looking really good on display.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Great Set!

I really enjoyed building this set, as it is my first gunship. While I’m not too impressed with the lack of quality with Commander Fox and the lack of included builds to fit inside the gunship, I’m overall satisfied with it. I even decided to modify the speeder bike and the turret of the Clone Trooper vs Battle Droids Battle Pack and these two builds were able to be placed in the gunship.

Commander Fox 2008 & 2023 end Star Wars

This set means I get to position Commander Fox doing the “wait, it’s all Palpatine?” “always has been” meme so 10/10 for that. The colors make it stand out for sure. While the doors nor minifig printings aren’t canonically accurate, I do enjoy the set and the build was not as repetitive as I was expecting. I wish the interior was bigger and it’d be cute if there were handholds, but Lego does tend to skimp on Star Wars sets because they still sell (unfortunately it works).

Cool Design

The Coruscant Guard Gunship is a cool ship, however the commander fox minifigure is completely inaccurate. The chest printing is somehow completely wrong, and the printed and not physical waist cape describes The Lego Group's declining quality over the years. The other minifigures look great, although Padame's chest print is incorrect from the clone wars, it looks fine. The Ship is designed well except for one thing: the ball turrets on the wings. The fact that Lego could not sacrifice an extra dollar of profit per ship to include printed clear plastics turrets and not the stud shooters is disappointing.

Solid with Some Shortcomings

The ship is sturdy and quite hefty as a playset. The dark red, white, and grey colors add a nice pop to the overall design. Although I never owned a previous iteration of the gunship, I completely agree with the other reviewers about the lack of cargo space to hold more troopers and the inaccurate design such as how the doors open, the sparse front cargo area, the gun turrets sitting on the wings, and the printing on Commander Fox. All of which hurts the authenticity of the set. However, children may not care because they want a solid playset to "swoosh" around.
