Teaching Creativity

I am close to retirement age, but I know many who have already retired and having nothing to do. I am buying multiple sets of Legos now, so when retirement arrives, I will have fun building the great Lego sets I've purchased. And my grandkids can build with me, creating great memories and fun experiences. They will not only learn how to follow instructions, but how to use their minds and be creative by constructing items from their own imaginations.

Where are the Pilots?

Great product

The build is pretty easy to follow and looks very clean, but it is not a hundred percent accurate for people who want it to be. I would say it is perfect for play and I would recommend it.

Lego continues to deliver

While Disney continues to let down the Star Wars fans by ignoring canon or altering fan favorite characters. This is not the case with Lego. Lego continues to produce the sets that fans want.

Figures and the lack of their attention to detail

Over all this Gunship looks nice. I love the idea of getting a different style/colored variation. This version is definitely scaled down compared to its past iterations. I’m Not the biggest fan of scaled down ships, especially when they’re more expensive than the previous versions. My biggest complaint is the figs. Yes the selection is great but they range in quality. Padme is an important character in Star Wars and uses a recycled face print. Not to mention its from a character thats in the SAME UNIVERSE. They have a perfectly good design from 2013 and the video game that truly represents the character features in a Lego form… Im not getting into the Clones. We all have said enough about the ugly weird shaped helmets and holes. My biggest issue with current Lego Star Wars is the lack of attention to detail on these modern mini figs.

A few downsides that could be fixed

The biggest problem with the build itself is the doors not opening all the way/how they should according to the modeled vehicle. Commander Fox doesn't look great either because his chest plate looks pink instead of white and him not having a cloth waistcape. Overall though I think it's a great set.
