False inclusivity!

I bought it for my daughter but returned it as soon as I saw the girl without a hand and reindeer on wheels! It is ridiculous! If you want to be inclusive then why don't make an advent with some smart and not-so-fancy dressed geek boys and girls with books? Why inclusivity is only about color, hands, or legs? If you are too smart, autistic, and don't know how to make friends, then everybody is not okay with it. I know a lot of kids with this type of problem but inclusivity is not about them.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Not inclusive

This set is kind of cute but there’s not much to it. And I’m confused as to why all the Lego friends sets now have a girl with a hand missing. I’m trying to figure out who this represents because how many little girls with a hand missing are Lego builders? I’m not trying to be mean, because I’m disabled myself. But in my experience it takes two hands to build legos so I don’t think this is a proper representation of disability nor logical, given where it’s being represented. It just makes everything feel awkward and like you’re pushing an agenda way too hard. Just let us all enjoy the legos the way they have always been in the past. Innocent and creative building sets without a message.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Creating Friends characters that represent real people helps fans understand a condition such as being born with a limb difference doesn't have to limit you in what you can achieve. These Heartlake City friends know that while life may not be perfect, it’s about using what you have, being curious and using your strengths and creativity to reach your goals.

I gave one of these last year and it was a BIG hit. So this year I decided to do it again-and they were surprised and thrilled to share the calendar-even and odd days.

Good for animals and diversity

I see why this wasn't popular with kids to build. But if you get on sale, a great was to get cute animals and more diversity. There is a snowboarder with partial arm and a dog in wheelchair. Excellent for characters, boring for assembling. One day was just a premade box and dots to represent a ball chest. The animals are adorable.
