kind of flimsy

while putting this together I noticed more parts fall off during assembly and once it was finished. It appears to be larger than USC 10240, but in reality they are about the same size. Overall is it a good build but 10240 was far better.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Save your money and avoid the frustration

Very disappointed in this set for all the reasons others have mentioned. It's flimsy and poorly designed. Pieces just fall off while it's sitting on the shelf The build itself was ok, but the finished product just doesn't have the stability it needs.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

We're sorry to hear that you're disappointed with this build. If pieces aren't stable, rebuilding from an earlier stage might be necessary. Sometimes there may be a piece just slightly off from where it should be. You'll also want to make sure that all the pieces are pressed tightly together. First of all, I was missing a piece on the stand. However, knowing lego’s reputation, I expect to have it replaced since it wasn’t on the actual fighter, but on the stand. I’m a 32 year old and this is my second Lego set I’ve ever built. I’m a huge Star Wars fan and saw this after watching the original trilogy on tv over Christmas and I had to get it. The flimsiness comments are from either people that try to speed build or don’t know how to follow directions. It’s a model for 18+, so if you’re playing with a model as an 18 year old, you may need to reevaluate your situation. If your kid wants to play with it, don’t let them, there are instructions at the front of the manual on how to hold the model correctly. Again, follow instructions and panels won’t fall off as others have said. Kind of funny seeing Lego snobs complain about this, clear indication they just speed build their sets. It’s a beautiful set and the engineering on it is amazing. Kudos to Lego designers, don’t know how they do this stuff.

Amazing set!

This has become my favorite set to build. I read some reviews stating that it falls apart easily, however, my experience was quite the opposite. This X-Wing build was fun to build and it was fun to see it come to life in its various phases. I handled the finished product often to test its durability and it held strong.
This set is an amazing set and piece to any Star Wars fan! And the details make it a must have set in your home.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Another Rubber Band X-Wing

The build was something I was really looking forward to, I'd waited a long time for another UCS X-Wing to release and waited a few months more after it arrived until we finished moving across the country. Needless to say, I was excited to finally building only to find out that it's wings were held up by the same rubber band system as the smaller sets. It's been 7 months since I built it and put it on my display shelf and now all I see is drooping wings and engines slowly going out alignment because of the amount of weight those bands have supported. There are designs out there to fix it with a sturdier gear system but it's a lot of work if you want to put in the time, but I would not recommend this set. The company should be disappointed in what they put out.

Stop crying

This set is EXACTLY what it's made to be. Stop your crying about the price. People want legit reviews, not someone crying. Don't like it? Don't buy it! The set is fine. I enjoyed building it and it sits right next to my xwing micro, xwing polybag, and xwing play size. It's exactly what they wanted it to be. Go buy knockoff bricks and build your own MOC'S!

The x-wing has returned!!

I was excited to know the X-Wing has returned! I feel it pays homage to the original ultimate collectors x-wing. Hopefully Lego brings out collectors series of Slave 1 and Darth Vader's tie-fighter 🤞

Build Issues

I've built several UCS sets (AT-AT, Gunship, and A-Wing) and had a great experience with them all. This build however is not up to the same standards. Several sections of the build seem extremely flimsy (particularly the front fuselage) and I came away disappointed with this set.
