Worked great.... for awhile

I liked everything about this appliance. So much so, I purchased a second. However, 4 weeks after my first purchase it started making a noise and stopped. The digital display gave a code PU. I checked the operating manual. No PU code. Next step is to call Frigidaire and see if I can get it replaced. Stay tuned.

We are disappointed to learn you are having issues with your dehumidifier. A PU error typically means there was a failure to pump out the bucket in the allotted time and there could be a possible hose blockage.
We recommend ensuring the pump drain hose is well connected and that the hose is not blocked, kinked, or frozen. Then, remove and empty the water bucket to check the bucket pickup for blockage of dirt or algae.
Once you have checked the unit for blockages, please turn off the unit and then restart it. If the error code persists, please chat with us via Frigidaire.com for further assistance. -Bianca

Set Up & Leave It Alone

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I love that I don’t have to monitor the dehumidifier to dump it since it has a built in pump! I got a longer hose so it could reach the drain in my laundry room (across the house from where it is running) and haven’t had any issues. My basement feels a lot drier now (it was super humid before)! I had to buy a new dehumidifier since my old one was included in the mass recall and I’m so happy that this is the one I picked!

Frigidaire 50 pint dehumidifer

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] After my 20 year old Kenmore Dehumidifier finally called it quits I started looking for a replacement. Seems like it didn't matter what brand you buy these devices don't seem to last more than 2 years. But reviews on the Frigidaire models seemed the best and their owners really liked them. So that is what I purchased. The 50 pint model with pump. Dehumidifier sits in the basement (about 1500 sqare feet). I like to keep the humidity level at around 48 percent. Been using this dehumidifier for about a month now and it is working like a charm. I like to empty the bucket manually to see how much water is being removed (not using the pump feature). I empty the bucket once a day. This machine removes the moisture in the air quickly. I am impressed. The only negative, for me, is that if you do let the bucket get all the way full it is full all the way to the top so be careful transporting it to where ever you are going to dump the water. There is a plastic guard on top to prevent any splashing though. All in all I would buy this product again if and when I need to.

So far - so good. But ...

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] It's too soon to tell if this unit will last more than 2 years. I've had 2 prior Frigidaire dehumidifiers, and both FAILED within 2 years with the infamous "FO" code, meaning all the refrigerant leaked out of the units.
