Breaks after One Year

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Works great when its working. The pump is an amazing feature. Has a huge 50 pt capacity. It is quiet and does not give off too much heat. I have maintained the filter and pump by cleaning them when needed. However, two days after my 1 year warranty expired it started icing up and showing an EC code. Basically means it is broken and on the way out. Now I can't get any support from Frigidaire. I don't think I will ever buy another Frigidaire product again if their machines are going to break one year later. This seems crazy to me.

Stopped working

Unit stopped working just before 1 year after purchase. Showing EC code. Have tried pulling power for awhile and it won’t collect water and EC code returned. Not impressed. Why can’t anyone make a reliable dehumidifier anymore??

Disappointed

This unit was a replacement for an earlier one that had a fault code and would not work. I put this in service late October of 2020. Yesterday, it started icing up on the coils which is what the other unit did before it showed the fault code. Not even a year and already going bad. It must be shut off and let the ice melt before turning back on, but showed ice again within a day.

Garbage just after one year!

Bought it in August 2021 and now showing EC fault code. Customer service said after one year and is out of warranty. He suggested me to buy another one. Wondering if this is a joke! I wouldn't trust this anymore.

Noisy and leaked on floor

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] If this is one of the better dehumidifiers out there then the industry is in a state of disaster. While this unit was simple to operate, the pump feature leaked internally from the beginning. Got my floors wet with a significant amount of water. And it is not quiet. Hard to listen to when trying to sleep. In fairness, the leak might have been caused with damage during shipping. But you can never know. Not worth the higher price point.

Very Disappointed with Lack of Service Availability

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Bought Dehumidifier Model FFAP 5033 W1 two (2) years ago. Ran fine for 2 summers. Now I get EC error code. Tried all suggested fixes. Keep getting code. Called Frigidaire and got list of service providers. The "service providers" told me unit is "Unserviceable" and cheaper to buy new unit than try to fix. This seems crazy for a piece of equipment that is only two years old. Any suggestions are welcome.
Unit was one recommended by local utility. I am reporting this experience to them as well.
Do not buy without air-tight extended warranty.

Faulty Dehumidifier

Dehumidifier is 22 months old and not working. The bottom one half of the coil freezes solid. Unit is in faulty, I’m hoping Frigidaire steps up and replaces there faulty Dehumidifier.
