It works uphill...

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Bought to replace a traditional gravity drain unit that tied into the home condensate pump. This dehumidifier works well and it can pump up to 8' hi in the basement direct to the home drain. Nice to eliminate the condensate pump from this process and also eliminate the hose running across the floor to the condensate pump.

Our New Best Friend for the Basement: Trusty, Straightforward, and Hardworking

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We moved into an apartment with a somewhat dank basement, and needed to store lots of furniture and boxes there. So we read many reviews and decided on the Frigidaire. We are very pleased after about 3 weeks. Setup was very easy and intuitive, it seems to work hard when it needs to and stop when it doesn't, and -- best of all-- the pail does not splash when you take it out to empty it. It is well-made and looks good (although we didn't buy it for its looks). It does a beautiful job of reducing humidity in the basement without a lot of fuss. We haven't tried the pump yet, our setup doesn't allow it, but bought that feature with an eye to future homes and uses where it could be very convenient.
