Stops working and not reliable

Stops working in a little over a year. Was good while it lasted however it should not fail this quickly. “Bucket full” alert doesn’t go away.

terrible build quality

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I ordered a unit and the pump didn;t work at all. so i returned it and ordered another. that unit's pump did not work too. i had these units in the past and worked well. so disappointed.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My warranty replacement is working fine and keeps very accurate humidity control. The bad, Frigidaire's warranty replacement procedure isn't consumer friendly. They hope you'll just go away.

Junk

My 20plus year low whirlpool was given to my son so I bought the 50 pint units lasted 3 months running as in the northern states only used in July & aug - worked great at first so right away so I bought on for my walkout lake home - well guess what both are junk ce code called warranty was up used a total of 6 months max but one must remember it’s warranty is a joke - too bad no 0 on review

EC Code renders unit inoperable

Unfortunately, feel compelled to leave a 1 star review due to the dreaded "EC" code. I can unplug and plug back in, but the EC code comes back and shuts the unit down in a few hours. The unit worked great for 2 years, but I feel like 2 years is not sufficient life-span for this type of appliance. Is there a way to repair this? I would really rather not have to bear the cost of a new appliance, nor the landfill impact of throwing out a faulty one.

Regarding your concern, we recommend for you to "Unplug the unit and plug it in again under normal operating conditions. If the display reads "EC" , check the following operating conditions. Outlet voltage should be 115V and the surrounding temperature should be with in the range of 41F to 96F. Died just after warranty eneded

Died just after warranty expired. All coolant leaked out and cannot be repaired.

No Ethics

Dehumidifier failed under warranty. Submitted warranty claim, Frigidaire confirmed receipt and that shipment confirmation would be provided within 10 business days. Now at 20+ business days and all care can do is day they will open a ticket and send it to the "back office.". Multiple calls to customer care and it is the same story each time. Seems that they just want you to give up. Expected more, especially since I paid for an extended warranty. Does not appear to be an ethical business based on my experience.

Wonderful dehumidifier

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have this in my larger basement room. I've seen other reviews indicating that it doesn't do the 4500 sq ft it advertises, but for 1200 or so (what I have) it does the job quite well. Keeps the humidity in the basement below 50%, even in warm weather/rain. Very quiet. Can barely hear it outside of the basement. I do wish for the size of this, it had a pump but it does have functionality for a hose to drain, so its at least an option. The only negative is that if you choose to dump the bucket, it can be quite heavy when full; I'd say 5 to 10lbs.
