DO NOT BUY, UNLESS YOU ONLY WANT TO USE FOR A YEAR

Was good when it ran. Only one yr warranty, EC code error on year 2. DO NOT BUY. A crime that the return rate is so high. I will never buy a Frigidaire product (or any of its related companies) again. What a waste of of money and a waste of materials and landfill space.

Poor quality, avoid wasting money

Unit only lasted 2 summers, about 3 months each for moderate use and proper storage off-season. Common EC code that is irreparable as reported online just outside of warranty window, junk quality machine.

If the display reads "EC" again, check the following operating conditions: The outlet voltage should be 115 volts, and the surrounding temperature should be in the range of 41 °F to 96 °F. Frigidaire High Humidity 50 Pint Capacity Dehumidifier with Built In Pump Review

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The product worked great for less than three months then completely died with the EC error code coming up in the display. A quick internet search sadly revealed that this is very common with this dehumidifier. I have completed the process with Frigidaire to have my unit replaced but i have not received it yet. I'm supposed to have the new dehumidifier in 7-10 days so hopefully I receive it soon. Unfortunately I cannot recommend this product based on my experience thus far but we will see how the replacement fares assuming I receive it.

Garbage

I bought the dehumidifier less than 1 year ago (June 2020), and just recently see water spillage every time the bucket starts to fill. I placed the bucket outside to check for hairline crack, nothing. I see that the red lever is out of place. I open the bucket to find out why and the lever guides crumbled in my hand.

Doesn't work

Bought this unit September 30, received October 5. Have now plugged it in to three different electric boxes, runs for about 5-6 hours, then shuts off and displays EC code. Reviews indicate that this is a problem for others. Frigidaire needs to fix this for me and for other owners!

Outlet voltage should be 115V±10% and the surrounding temperature should be within the range of 41 °F to 89 °F. Unplug the unit and plug it in again under normal operating conditions. Quality is not what it should be

I received this unit from Frigidaire (Electrolux) at the end of March 2021. It was a warranty replacement for a model FFAP7033T1 that I had had for for a little over three years that stopped cooling the dehumidification coil. The replacement process was very smooth after I was connected to a very capable person in North Carolina (vs overseas call center). Now just five months later, this unit has a problem with low pressure in the refrigeration system as evidenced by the coil icing up. I have really liked the Frigidaire dehumidifiers over the years. This is my 5th unit in 8 years. There was a failure with the refrig system of each after: 2 yr, 1 yr 9 m, 7 m, 3 yr 6 m, 6 m. They have been good in the past with replacement; however there is obviously a major problem with reliability / quality. The location where used is a typical slightly humid basement application. Nothing demanding.

This humidifier was bought in December 2020. It was not opened until 2 months ago. We noticed right away that It is hot air coming out of the humidifier after 5 minutes of turning on which made it impossible for us to use it this summer. We would like to know what you can do to fix the issue.

Works great!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This dehumidifier with pump is doing a great job of keeping my basement nice and dry. I like that the cord is longer than the last dehumidifier I bought, but it can barely reach the outlet which is near the ceiling. I have the unit propped up on some boards to raise it high enough since you cannot use an extension cord with these. As these are used often in basements and they often have outlets only high up, it would be nice if the cords were all at least 8’.
