OK, but Working Hard and Humidistat is Not Accurate—Should Make in USA

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Seems to be working OK in my basement, after I had it running for almost a week in 'CO' (Continuous Operation) mode. Now have it down to lowest humidity setting (35%), and it's keeping basement between 40% and 50%, which is all right, but right at its limit I think. Pump is working fine. I would be happier if Frigidaire made these in the USA, for sure.

A Very Good Replacement

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I received this unit as a free replacement for a year-old unit of the previous year model that failed with an F0 error. To their credit, the Frigidaire Customer service, with whom I communicated through website chat, immediately sent me a form that I filled and emailed back with documents they requested. The they processed the claim and within three weeks, I received this unit via UPS. For that, I give them five stars!
The unit has been in operation for a week now and works well in removing the moisture from the lower level of the house that is half below ground and usually at higher humidity level than the upper level. I set up the pump with a 25-foot long 1/4 inch tubing that pushes the discharge into a sink on the upper level, about 12 feet higher than the dehumidifier location. It works well, to my surprise as I think it is a simple vibratory pump with a check valve! The unit is also efficient as it shuts off when humidity reaches the set point and resumes after moisture increases. So far, I am happy and hope that this unit will last longer that several years: its warranty is only one year unlike the unit it replace that had a 5-year compressor warranty!

Lights On, No One Home

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought this dehumidifier a month ago. But when I plugged it in, the lights blinked then went dark. I tried to call Frigidaire, but was disconnected. I returned the dehumidifier to the store.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Bought two exact models. One is nosier than the other and emits an oder. Wish I understood why. If both were like the quiet and odorless one, I’d give it a 5 star rating. Don’t know if it’s possible to investigate why both are so different.
