[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I returned another brand of dehumidifier that gave out after 2 weeks. This one works beautifully for a combo basement/entry space.

Great Dehumidifier

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Working really well! Can’t believe how much water it pulls from my home. MUCH lower humidity in my house. My home is old and in central Florida so it’s pulling 50 pints about every 12 hours. I turn it off at night so I don’t have to get up and empty. I highly recommend. Easy to use and has a handle on the reservoir making it easier to empty.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I've been using it for a few weeks now. The pump works great and I don't have to be taking out the water.
Humidity is under control now at the basement.
Hopefully it will last long!

Had to return

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought this dehumidifier for my basement. I bought this specific model based on reviews and because it has a built in pump. Got it set up, turned it on, and let it run. It worked well to remove the humidity, but the pump did not work. It never turned on. The set up is pretty simple, you remove the plug, attach a hose, and select the continuous drain function. The hose we bought was your basic, standard garden hose. The directions state the water can be pumped and drained through the hose vertically, which is how we set it up.
We tried a few different things hoping we could figure out why it wasn't working...
We thought their might be a kink in the hose, nothing crazy, just the regular indent marks that you'd see in a hose when you first buy it. We worked out all of the kinks, still didn't work. We moved the hose to drain horizontalIy, still didn't work. We cut the hose at different lengths to see if it was too long for some reason, that didn't work. Then we removed the water bucket and hose to see if something was blocking the water from coming out, but we could not see anything. We searched Google, watched YouTube videos, and got nowhere. Next for the heck of it, we put the FULL water bucket back into place and removed the plug...nothing happened. Shouldn't the water have come pouring out?
I tried numerous times to call customer service. The phone rings, you have to go through some prompts, then it says something like--we are experiencing high call volumes, try your call later or check the website, then hangs up. No way to stay on hold or leave a messege. I tried multiple phone numbers. One of the phone numbers, I was prompted to enter my ZIP code, which I did, then they provided a phone number. I could barely understand what the messege said, couldn't make out what business they named but heard the phone number. So I called, and they had no idea why I was given the phone number, the prison who answered sounded clueless. Another worker said that I'm able to bring a Frigidaire appliance to a repair shop within a year of purchase. I did not choose to do this. At this point, I was so frustrated and annoyed that I was unable to get a person on the phone to ask a simple question to. I wasn't going to bring the 50lb dehumidifier to a repair place, hope they are able to fix it, then hope that nothing else goes wrong with it in the future.
I did not read any reviews similar to experience. I don't know if we got a bad unit or what..probably could've been able to figure something out had I been able to speak with someone.
I hate leaving reviews like this, but felt that people deserve to know, that is something does go wrong or you need help, you probably won't get it.

Do not buy! May contain lead and phthalates
on August 2, 2021
Posted by: PAFu
There is a Prop 65 warning, and the company refuses to say why. It appears there is lead in the product. If on the coils, that could create a major issue with the dehumidifier water. They must answer. Otherwise, do not buy! Especially parents on septic!
Response from frigidaire.comBy KiaraOnline Outreach SpecialistAugust 17, 2021
Hello PAFu! Thank you for sharing your concerns. The water collected in your dehumidifier is not potable although it does not come in contact with substances mentioned as part of Prop 65. If you need information regarding the labeling, please visit https://www.p65warnings.ca.gov/. -Kiara

Powerful dehumidification, limited in a crawlspace
on June 18, 2020

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Also a replacement for a unit that only lasted 6 months (actually the 2nd replacement). Dried my 1,600 square foot crawlspace out in a hurry. Not exactly quiet with the fan speed set to high, but no problem given it's location. The only thing Frigidaire doesn't tell you is that since it exhausts upward it requires 2 feet of vertical clearance above the unit. Luckily my crawlspace has plenty of headroom, so it's not a problem, but you should be aware of that restriction. One thing I will say in praise of Frigidaire is that they are very good about honoring their warranty. Just be sure to purchase the extended service contract as their dehumidifiers are not known for their longevity. I'm keeping my fingers crossed that this one will be better.
