It simply works

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Bought approximately one month ago - the GE dehumidifier was not quite able to suck all the humidity out of the large basement area. Design of the Frigidaire is WAY better than GE. The GE has a plug that is easy to lose if you don't want to use the pump feature. No such problem with Frigidaire - the plug is captive. The GE fan runs constantly, even when humidity is lower than setpoint, the Frigidaire fan cuts out when not needed. The Frigidaire calibration for humidity is off - way off - reading 60% when actual humidity is 42%. The GE reading is +/- 5 percent of actual.

It works perfectly and brought down the humidity level from 85% to 50%. I so appreciate the effectiveness and quality of this unit... Highly recommend!

Working perfectly and helping with dampness problem

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This dehumidifier is working perfectly, removing gallons of water every humid day we have here on the Chesapeake Bay. Our house is on the water and the unit is in a conditioned garage that was developing dampness problems with the recent heat and humidity. The comfort level in the conditioned garage, which has various rooms and includes a home theatre area, man cave, and storage area in addition to parking for 3 cars and a motorcycle, has improved considerably. I have elevated the unit and drain it into a 20 gallon container. I plan to run a drain hose directly outside to avoid having to carry water every few days.

stopped dehumidifying after 6 months and no luck getting thru to service

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Built in pump never worked but don't need it but tried it to see if works. after 6 months get EC code. unplug, then plug back in and runs. sometimes can hear compressor kick in but never feel warm air coming out like supposed to when condenser is pulling water out of air. then next day EC code comes on again. so far can't get thru to service, always 1 hour wait after you have to give a bunch of info to a computer assistant voice. Can't do online. registered product online and set up account. account does not show registered product

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My only complaints so far is 1) the electrical cord could be longer, especially for use in the basement and 2) the instructions for attaching the pump hose could add an extra line about pulling the "collar" out after inserting the hose.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I purchased this dehumidifier after another one I purchased broke 3 days in. So far this one has been great and was so easy to get set up and going.
The built in pump is great for ensuring the machine can run all the time without us having to empty the bucket frequently.
