This is my second AcuRite weather station. Both of which I am completely satisfied. This most recent one is connected via Wi-Fi. I can get my weather on all my devices (and my family too!)

Tried repeatedly to get this unit to connect no luck, instructions not helpful. Disappointed to to see the max wind speed cycles to often and it is unknown over what period it record and period of average wind speed. I bought this unit to know the max over say a 24 hour period. Where is north on the wind direction I assume at 12:00? Between the speed recording, poor instructions and not being able to use the internet connection this was a disappointing purchase. Not recommended.

Not able to run on just batteries evan for a few seconds, and the instructions to connect to wiff are so pour I was never able to connect.

For full functionality, we do recommend using both the backup batteries and the included power adapter. When operating on battery power alone, the backlight is only available momentarily for 10 seconds by pressing the backlight button.
