So easy to setup, just follow the instructions and it's up and running in a matter of minutes, as for the ACCESS unit it work really well on my laptop and desktop computers, but be prepared to wait until it syncs - can take several minutes, it has lots more information than on the main display. This replaced a 12 year old La Crosse unit that had no support. I could not register the unit but Support replied within hours of my query.
When it works, it's great. Unfortunately I get a "loss of signal" frequently even though I am less than 50 feet from the unit and batteries are fresh. Disappointing, to say the least.
This is the third one I have purchased. And all worked great . The display units are still working fine. The first sensor the wind cups fell apart so I replaced the whole thing. The next one I purchased the access with it so I could keep up with the weather no matter where I was. Then the access unit failed and I purchased the direct wi-fi and have the new sensor still in the box and using the old sensor and all three displays are still working. One in the kitchen, one beside the recliner and the oldest one is in my workshop. If I ever need to buy another one I definitely will buy another 5 in one
The Direct-to-WiFi display is easy to read and is a great upgrade from older AcuRite displays. We had difficulty connecting to our ISP's WiFi hub, though, and eventually switched to the Access interface to allow web connection. Your mileage may vary, but as always, you can rely on AcuRite to help in the event you had any issues.
I love these units. This is our 3td one. The only thing I would like better is that on this new unit, the screen is dark. I have to walk over by it to read it
