The weather station works great...until it doesn't. It seems to randomly lose connectivity, and then it needs to be manually reconnected. This is not ideal if I'm not home to reconnect it, so we go hours with no data. Upon reconnecting, it doesn't retain any of the data that was collected while it was disconnected. So if it rained while disconnected, I have no record of that.

We apologize that your station is experiencing an issue but we would be happy to assist! First, please make sure that you are using fresh batteries in both units, then perform the following reset. Please follow the steps carefully as the order is crucial to the success of the reset. Hard Reset: 1. Bring both the sensor and display unit together and remove batteries from the outdoor sensor. Make sure that the Wireless Reception Indicator on the display drops to zero bars to ensure that your display was connected to the correct sensor. (If your wireless reception indicator already indicates zero bars, please proceed to Step #2.) NOTE: If your display unit continues to show a strong connection, there is another sensor in your area that your display is connecting to (either a neighbor's or from another of your AcuRite units). If you have multiple sensors, make sure to use a different ABC channel on each. 2. Remove the batteries and/or power adapter from the display unit. 3. Change the A-B-C setting on the outdoor sensor to a new channel then press and hold the reset button in the battery compartment of the display for 20 seconds, if applicable. 4. Reinstall the batteries in the outdoor sensor. 5. Reinstall batteries and/or power cord into the display unit then immediately press and hold the reset button again for 20 seconds, if applicable. Make sure to set the display to the same channel as the sensor. This setting is located in the SET MODE. 6. Let the units sit within a couple of feet of each other for approximately 5 minutes or until you see a solid sensor signal. Once the Iris sensor has reconnected to the display unit, please perform the Wi-Fi Setup steps found in the following link. https://support.acurite.com/hc/en-us/articles/360050596233-Direct-to-Wi-Fi-Weather-Station-Setup- Please review the "Before you begin" section to ensure all settings are correct before proceeding. If we can further assist, please reach out to our support team via live chat or email request.
While we are enjoying it- only the display is working. We are unable to get it to connect to the phone - which it disappointing because that was one of the features we were excited about.
This product is quite good, but the set up of the app was not described to make the task easy. One of your techs sent me a Utube post the described the app application very good I do have a problem in that the unit shows the indoor temp to be 4 degrees warmer than it actually is. Can this be adjusted somehow?

Verified Purchase:Yes
I've had my Iris 5-in-1 for about a year and after dealing with jealousy from my daughter, I bought this one for her. We access each other's information via the Wunderground map. She's thrilled to have the data at her home and is using it to teach her children about weather.
So easy to setup, just follow the instructions and it's up and running in a matter of minutes, as for the ACCESS unit it work really well on my laptop and desktop computers, but be prepared to wait until it syncs - can take several minutes, it has lots more information than on the main display. This replaced a 12 year old La Crosse unit that had no support. I could not register the unit but Support replied within hours of my query.
When it works, it's great. Unfortunately I get a "loss of signal" frequently even though I am less than 50 feet from the unit and batteries are fresh. Disappointing, to say the least.
