I wrote a rather scathing review on Aug 7th regarding Acurite 5-in-1 Iris Direct-To-Wi-Fi Display and Weather Underground app. Thanks to Amber in tech support my issue was resolved. Thank you!
I would recommend this to a friend!

The dark background is nice BUT the dark rust color of wind speed is hard to see.
I've had an AcuRite installed at my home, and installed one at my Dad's. I've been happy with both, and Dad loves to monitor weather from his breakfast table. So, when my wife and I bought a lake house vacation home, it was only natural to add one there. I can monitor with the app from home.
This replaced an old AcuRite that was failing. The Direct to wifi is a great addition. I no longer have to keep my computer up and running 24 hours a day.

I upgraded from an older model Acurite that was 5-6 years old. This model has a better display and easy to setup. Only problem I have can't connect to my Wi-Fi, I have 5GHZ and it needs 2.4GHZ to connect. But other than that, I would recommend this.
First thing I found out was we could not see our inside temperature via the app. Seemed like everything I could find online suggested this would be there. I contacted support, they confirmed that feature is not available on this unit. Guess I could buy an add on, bought a WiFi thermostat instead. The other thing is the rain gauge. The unit was up for two weeks and the rain gauge stopped working. Not clogged with debris, just stopped working. I brought the unit down and rest everything and changed the channel. Found this tip online, and it worked. If this continues to happen I'll be sending the unit back for a refund.
