Buyer beware

Internet will not stay connected. Every 30 mins or so it disconnects and stays that way until you go in to reset it. I found posts about this all over the internet, so it is not a new or isolated issue.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

HARD TO READ - HATE THE BLACK SCREEN. NEED TO GET CLOSE TO SEE THE SMALL DISPLAY. BACK STAND BROKE DAY ONE. NO WIND CHILL READOUT! EVEN WITH THE BATTERIES IN PLACE, WHEN YOU UNPLUG IT, ALL GOES DARK! I.E. THE BATTERY BACK DOES NOT WORK. FINALLY, IT NEVER HOOKED UP TO OUR WI-FI. WOW, THEY CAN DO BETTER.

We apologize for the trouble you have had setting up your station, but we would be happy to assist! Please note that the Wind Chill reading appears below the outdoor humidity reading once the outdoor temperature is below 40 degrees Fahrenheit. Also, when using battery power alone, the backlight is only available momentarily by pressing the backlight button. To connect the display to your Wi-Fi, press the gear button on the display to reactivate the Wi-Fi Setup feature, then follow the steps in the link below:

Works but could be better

First thing I found out was we could not see our inside temperature via the app. Seemed like everything I could find online suggested this would be there. I contacted support, they confirmed that feature is not available on this unit. Guess I could buy an add on, bought a WiFi thermostat instead. The other thing is the rain gauge. The unit was up for two weeks and the rain gauge stopped working. Not clogged with debris, just stopped working. I brought the unit down and rest everything and changed the channel. Found this tip online, and it worked. If this continues to happen I'll be sending the unit back for a refund.

We apologize for any inconvenience that this has caused you. The life expectancy of the outdoor sensor can vary greatly and depends on several factors such as mounting location, general climate, proximity to the ocean, etc. We do offer replacement parts that often extend the life of the sensor. For further assistance, please reach out to our support team via live chat or email request.

I wrote a rather scathing review on Aug 7th regarding Acurite 5-in-1 Iris Direct-To-Wi-Fi Display and Weather Underground app. Thanks to Amber in tech support my issue was resolved. Thank you!
I would recommend this to a friend!

Not sure I would buy 5-In-1 again

Purchased just over 2 years ago. This spring I started receiving email notifications of unit WiFi signal loss for over 2 hrs no matter time of day or weather occurrence. Continued to get more notifications even after replacing batteries and cleaning sensor unit. Finally tried resetting unit channels, I have sensor and monitor reading okay but lost my Acurite app and Weather Underground connection. I cannot connect to Acurite network code using either smartphone or iPad. I bought this unit for allowing me to access my weather at home while away and networking with Weather Underground. Extremely frustrating and disappointing. Difficult setup, sorry I purchased Acurite WiFi 5-In-1 unit.

This is my second AcuRite weather station. Both of which I am completely satisfied. This most recent one is connected via Wi-Fi. I can get my weather on all my devices (and my family too!)

Display is harder to read

The new display has less contrast and brightness than my previous AcuRite display, so it's harder to read from a distance or in low light. In the end, I paired both the new display (for My AcuRite access) and my previous display (for viewing) to the new weather station.
