I would rather have repaired the one I had. But your site said it was too old style to do so. Also it's upsetting that you can no longer speak to a person. Being near the ocean is hard on the unit and needs better protection from rain.

I've been a loyal consumer of acurite products over the years and thoroughly enjoyed the features of the HD digital color displays. I've just purchased my 3rd bundled setup with the internal wi-fi as a gift for my daughter's new home. Acurite weather stations have been a quality lasting product for our home and RV.

Easy unit to use but however the instructions are in my view incomplete. I have ax flashing WiFi signal and have tried many times to resolve it. The FAQ is so irritating to use as I find it frustrating.

Great unit but.........

I bought this unit 2 years ago. It lasted about 18 months and then the wind direction indicator seized. Now in fairness I live fairly close to the ocean but it rusted solid. It's mounted about 60' from the high tide line and 25' up the pole. The kicker was the temperature unit also stopped at its default mode of -40c even when we had our recent heat wave. The indoor monitor works fine. I'm buying another one because I do like being able to see what the weather is doing at my home no matter where I am in the world. I just accept that I need to replace it every couple of years. :( They're still the best deal for the $ out there.
I would recommend this to a friend!
