We have had a AcuRite (5-in-1) for many years. We live fulltime in a large motorhome and rely on our weather station in many locations across the US. I upgraded to the Direct-to-WiFi Display for the sole purpose of being able to monitor weather conditions and TEMPERATURES while we are away from the RV. Very dissatisfied with the device NOT having the capability to transmit the indoor temperature. We often need to leave our dog alone in our rig and purchased this upgrade specifically to monitor interior temps as part of our attempt to rectify the situation.
It ook some time to rig a proper mounting on our fence, and it took three tries to get it to connect to Wi-Fi, but once those were done it seems to be working perfectly.
I purchased this to monitor the weather conditions in a rock quarry and I am very happy. I can check weather conditions from anywhere with my phone. I couldn't be happier with the station or the app. Thanks.
The new display has less contrast and brightness than my previous AcuRite display, so it's harder to read from a distance or in low light. In the end, I paired both the new display (for My AcuRite access) and my previous display (for viewing) to the new weather station.
The product itself is great. The only problem I've had is connecting to the internet in my home. The link provided seems to be no longer valid and I've as yet been unable to connect my device to the internet, rendering part of why I bought this model useless.
I've been a loyal consumer of acurite products over the years and thoroughly enjoyed the features of the HD digital color displays. I've just purchased my 3rd bundled setup with the internal wi-fi as a gift for my daughter's new home. Acurite weather stations have been a quality lasting product for our home and RV.
This is the second unit I have owned. Great product. On the new unit, just can't get it to work with WiFi. Other issue, can the rain readings be edited? We had 30 MPH winds, blowing snow for about 14 hours. Says we had over 20 inches of rain !! My station is about 14 feet in the air.
