I just received this today and plugged it in and theres a very loud clicking noise like something is jammed inside the fan. Going to return it tomorrow and get a refund.

Received with the packaging box completely ripped, and the product itself cracked(I had to tape the bottom). And it arrived with 3 missing parts. The unit itself is ridiculously loud. With how heavy this is, and the box completely broken, i can't even return it by shipping. Will have to return it in store. Extremely disappointed.

One might get the impression that because this product comes with wheels, that it operates in any part of the home. Not so. The setup is complicated and one has to prepare an exit hose through the wall. The instructions are clearly unreliable. I returned the product. Best Buy have an outside technical co. For setup and the first available time is one month from now. Never again!

This unit cools nicely but noisy

After I got it home I left it sitting up in the box for 24 hrs. The weather had cooled and I didn't have time to unpack it until today. Plugged it in and I noticed that the compressor ran a little louder than my previous portable AC unit. I have owned these units before and they can put out a lot of white noise and thats ok with me but compressor noise is another story. Its an erratic sound that is tiring to listen to. Not sure but it seems like this unit was a return too.

Cools well

The main thing is this little unit cools well.
Our room is a bit bigger than the recommended 250 sq feet but it gets to temperature relatively easily.
For those of you who have the older portables that need to drain the condensation through a hose, the single exhaust is a dream- no more repeatedly emptying containers of water…
We got this during the Labor Day sale and it was the cheapest portable anywhere.
The only reason I don’t give it five stars is that it is quite noisy, and shuts off altogether when cycling off- which can be distracting as it happens frequently. If you’re a light sleeper this may not be for you; if you’re accustomed to the heavy drone of window units and don’t mind the stops and starts, it’s fine and does the job well.

Deceptive marketing - not really a dehumidifier.

I was looking for a reasonable climate control device, I purchased this primarily for the function as a dehumidifier, which I feel like this model doesn't really expand this function beyond what any normal air con unit would be achieving.
It's dehumidifier mode, is a 1 speed max fan setting, which prevents the user from setting and maintaining a particular humidity level.

As a aircon unit it's probably great, just wish it was more honest about it's abilities on the box.
