Good while it works. Terrible Replacements

While it was working, It worked really well and I was happy with it. Unfortunately, it stopped being able to pull out water from the air. Using the warranty, there was no issue, I got a replacement sent out, unfortunately it would not pull out humidity(empty basket after several hours in 70+% humidity.) Warranty sent another replacement. That one smelled of wet dog and strong perfume and the basket had a lot of residue on it. Not something you want to see in a refurbished product that deals with air quality. Reached out again, once again I have received a dirty unit(literal patch of black slime in the basket and dirt and hair in the filter. The plug also looked like it was dragged along the highway.). I don't know if there is any quality control in their refurbished units. At this point I am calling it a loss disposing the units properly is starting to add up in cost. Pictures below of are the latest replacement that just arrived.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Great when you can get the bucket in correctly.

This worked great but like all others the bucket reinsertion is tough! I dont have an issue with the pump arm coming down, my issue is it spews in bucket and spews on floor 1/2 & 1/2. This just started happening. I get the bucket in to the last 1/2” then I have to forcefully hit it with the hand to get it flush.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Cannot be happier with this purchase. It has been very good at what it was needed for. We have excessive humidity on the top floor of a three floor townhome. It dehumidifies about 1300 sq feet effectively.

This is my third Danby dehumidifier. The previous two lasted over ten years each. This new one has added features including a pump that would be helpful for me. The Dehumidifier is working great so far.

Great for two years then freezing issues with no dirt of the coils.

Worked great for 2 years. Started with emptying every other day in the unfinished basement to gravity drip after maybe 6 months. No issues with keeping filter or coils clean. Bucket was an issue afrer a while. One of the reasons i changed to drip feed. Started having issues 1 month after the 2 year warranty ended with it freezing over the bottom part of the coils. Nothing working other then turning off to let it melt and then starting it back up hours later which is a pain. And for some reason it drips under the machine now as well. Something just wrong with unit as not dirty and starts to freeze almost instantly to a nice thick block within hours. Day or two and it's almost out the filter so doing this review as a heads up.

bad sensor

I have a new house with a poured wall cement basement. This dehumidifier works well for removing moisture in the basement. However, when emptying the bucket full of water, it must be reinserted 10 to 15 times for the unit to turn on again.
