good looking effective dehumidifier

works and looks great except for the hassle with sliding the bucket in and out, having to play with the pump arm each time.

Great for 2 years. Can't recommend without that short of life.

Worked great for unfinished 1600 sqft basement for exactly 2 years. Started having issues with freezing over and the auto defrost is not working. Filter clean and coils clean so not sure what happened. Was on continuous gravity drip for most the machines life. Wish if would last longer then two years. Price of the unit is almost twice what I paid in May of 2021 now.

Water bucket difficult to put in, pump out let leaking

After using 2 times we having water all over floor from water pump outlet when bucket fills to top. Also multiple attempts and constant adjusting device-pump arm inside unit to get water bucket into unit. The pump arm constantly falls down not stay in place and forces you to act very fast to push water bucket into unit . Water bucket hard to align . I fear over time this struggling will affect integrity of buck and ultimately cause bucket to get stress fractures/ crack. Instruction manual does not depict parts that come with it and how to attach drain tubing.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Hi,
This is not the experience we want you to have. Please be sure that the pump arm has to be pushed upward before you put the water bucket in. It’s normal for the pump arm to falls once the bucket is being removed. Also, try to remove/check the pump drain hose to secure that the hose was correctly inserted. Lastly, double-check maybe the PUMP was ON, but there is no drain hose which will cause a water leak. If the issue persists, please send an email to our consumer department so that they can provide you other troubleshooting steps that might resolve the issue of your appliance. Has a washable filter so that you won't need to ever replace it. Quiet operation.

Waste of money!

Doesn't last! In a clean, summer only application, this unit stopped dehumifying shortly out of the warranty period. Very disapointed! Google search of the error code indicated it needed an eloborate repair to part of its control board. No repair shops in St Louis, MO metro area. Unless you like filling landfills, don't waste your time and money buying Danby products!

I purchased this in April and it froze in September! Other dehumidifiers I have had over the past 40 years have each lasted several years. This was a terrible purchase!
