We bought this to replace a very old wall air conditioner. The first one that was shipped to me was damaged so badly in shipping that it would not work. The second works fine - cools well - relatively quiet - controls easy to work. However this one was also damaged in transit - the catches for the filter cover were all broken when unpacked. At this point I can tolerate no further delays so we will use as is and hold the cover shut with tape.
Pros: ease of use, Performance
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

It kept popping the breaker and it wouldn't work even on full blast well enough to cool the tiny 100 square foot room it was let alone the rest of the connected space it was meant to. But this LG unit is amazing! We don't even need it on full blast and my house is COLD! I haven't had that in years! I am so incredibly happy with this! It's also quiet!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I got this unit to replace a 20 year old air conditioner that finally died. I love it!!! I love that fact that it has a remote, I love that you can set a timer for when it shuts down. And I love that it has a fan, for those days when it is cool out and I just want to bring in the outside cool air. Overall, I would say that it is a great investment and I would recommend it to anyone that it is need of a new air conditioner.
