I received this ac a few weeks ago and I can honestly say this is the best air conditioner I have ever owned. It's quiet and set on 78 has cooled down a 1000sq.feet quite comfortably. I just love it!!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I've been waiting for _years_ for an adjustable output/inverter window unit. LG came out with these last year.. So a month ago, I bought one for use in my NYC apt. Note that NO ONE in the NYC area had it in stock, and I had to drive it in from a Home Depot way out of state. The building installed it (special double-pane, thermal, windows, so they had to get glass specially cut. This would NOT be a problem in 95 pct of installation). It is physically smaller than the building's "standard" Friedrich units, so it took an extra couple of weeks for the glass, etc. Review: it's QUIETER and works great. The inverter deal means that... it ramps down (and up) the BTU rating as needed, so much fewer compressor starts and stops. And also... there's no "harrumph", so to speak, or window rattle, when it does come on. This is super duper especially good when sleeping. The ramp down reduces the electrical demand - I've watched my monitor range from 300 to 1,400 watts. So.... there's NO worry about oversizing the unit. If you're anywhere near a 10,000 requirement, then get this one. One very, very, minor glitch: With traditional units of this size (14,000 BTU), if you left it off on a hot day, and came inside from a 90 degree outdoor temperature, you could make your way to the air conditioner, turn it on, and get a BLAST of refreshing cold air into your face. With these... the unit starts off with just the fan and a _low_ BTU setting and measures the various temperatures. So you'll get a coolish breeze at the start but no BLAST. Every few seconds it sees it has to raise its rating, so the BTU output goes up, the air gets cooler, etc. But again, no BLAST. So aside from that very slight issue, it's great. I'd give it a 95 out of 100....

Bought this unit after much research. The daul inverter compressor is everything, no loud start ups, no rattling windows and no loud noise in your ear. It honestly sounds just like a fan blowing and it cools the whole 700 SQ feet we needed it to. The is the best ac ....

Model: LW1517IVSM Quiet, Does not use much power, But... Used it for just a couple of moths at my storage office last year. Did not do a good job at cooling a 12ft by 18ft room. Just started working in that office this week since Spring/Summer began. I hate that I spent so much money and it just doesn't blow very cold air. Has not since it was unpacked from the box. Fan blows great volume and it is quiet...but not cold.

We would love an opportunity to help, however we need to move to a platform that supports back and forth messaging. Please send us a private message on Facebook or Twitter using @LGUSSupport and include #VOC, your contact info and model # and we would be happy to troubleshoot the issue or set up repair if needed. Thanks. ^Sandy
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This AC has beat my expectations. It looks good, is easy to install and functions really well - quiet and powerful. At 14.000 BTUs, I was worried that it would flip my circuit but it hasn’t done that once, even when I’ve used other devices on the same circuit. Two thumbs up!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Been using for a few years. Cools like a larger unit. Quiet and reliable.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Although it was a little more expensive, it has no problem cooling all of 1500 sq. ft even tho its only rated for 800 sq ft. Definetly a great investment!!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Bought for my master bedroom, it does an amazing job of keeping my room cool and I have 6 windows in this room. The sleep mode is amazing and it’s even quieter. Love the app, it lets me change the settings anywhere!! I recommend this to anyone that’s bothered by noisy air conditioners.
