Success! Instead of our home being tolerable in some rooms on the hottest days, we are now able to live in comfort. Not only does it provide excellent cooling, but it is much quieter than any other unit we've owned. Definitely recommended!

Disappointed in new model

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I purchased an earlier version of this model and loved it! It was super quiet and cooled my studio apt well. However after several years it developed a buzzing sound. I purchased this unit to replace the older version and boy was I disappointed. It does not cool my apt well and has to be set in a very low temperature causing the constant wind tunnel noise. It also rattles emits an awful ratting noise. I regret throwing away my older unit.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Quiet!!!!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Great for a larger room, but for a window unit it is heavy and needs an air-conditioner support bracket and 2 people!! would not trust just a window to hold it!! If you use a support you wont have to remove the unit from the case. Mounting hardware is cheap but works. Make sure you get that mounting support!!!
