[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This unit is very nice because the compressor is super quiet. There is fan noise of air moving, of course, depending on the fan speed. However when the compressor kicks in, the sound level does not ramp up...there is no compressor hum or sudden kick on/off of the compressor. It's a very smooth running unit. You will need time to mount it, just don't expect to slap it in the window and walk away. Also, consider secondary support of the unit, unless you have an unusually thick window frame. The bonus is that the heavy interior components slide-out so you can take your time properly mounting and supporting the lighter unit housing in your window. Once the mounting is done, slide the interior component back in, secure with a couple screws, and you're ready to cool.
It cools very quickly and the fan can push the cool air for quite a distance with the fan on high. Getting the wifi set up isn't too tedious, however, follow the directions about disabling the cellular data on your phone while connecting the unit via the thinq app to your wifi. Once it is connected to wifi, the app interface works well. You can remotely change the fan speed, cooling functions and temperature setting. It also displays the current detected room temperature. It does integrate with Amazon Alexa, however I haven't really figured out voice commands for it. It's basically limited to changing the temperature setting on Alexa. So, I just use the thinQ app mostly. I am very happy with purchasing this unit over other units that may have been a few dollars cheaper, the dual inverter compressor is really quiet.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought two of these. My elderly parents central a/c died and they would have needed a whole new unit. I purchased this a/c and it cools their downstairs area just fine. They are on a fixed income and it really saved the day when the temperatures went up to 97, they stayed cool.
I bought a 2nd unit for my home, which never had a/c in the downstairs. When my parents came over and we turned it on, they were kept cool and comfortable. Very happy with both units.

I love the fact that I can use the app to increase or decrease the temp when I leave work, and the temp is just right when I get home.
