Honestly, I was very excited when we first purchased. We needed a unit large enough to cool much of our first floor. I loved the extended features and it seemed to do the trick... at first. Within a week or so, the unit appeared to not drain properly and kept cutting off. Then we noticed that portions of it were beginning to rust. We had to return the unit.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] i got this ac unit because my central unit couldnt keep up with the florida heat. house would be 83 during the day and the ac would never shut off. i have a less than a 1000 square foot home. after installing this unit. the house stays as cold as i set the lg unit temperature too. electric usage has went down also since the central air doesnt run constantly. i can control the unit from work if need too. love this ac unit.
