NOT QUITE!!!!!!!!!!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought this unit and waited 1 week for management to install. I turned it on two days ago OMG. The LOUDEST high pitch woooooooooo... sound. I live in NYC, for a period of time I lived next to a subway track. I can tell you this noise is worst. None stopping high pitch wooooooo sound. No way this unit have only 44dB.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

App is useless.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Do not buy this for the convenience of the app. The app logs you out every time you close it. The app also completely deleted my info and the ac unit all together, time after time. Meaning I need to be next to the ac to add it back on. So buying it to turn it on and off away from home is pointless. Disappointing.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I honestly haven't had a chance to use the air conditioner yet. I bought it at the end of last summer, and will hopefully start using it when it gets hot again. Honestly, so far, this AC installation has been very difficult and cumbersome. I had no idea how enormous and heavy a window unit could be. For starters, i hardy managed to get it upstairs. I'm used to air conditioners that you just pull out of the box and stick in the window. This one has taken so much work and anxiety. I can't even put it in the window i want it in, because it's too big and heavy, and does not come with adequate support and frankly, I'm afraid it will fall 3 stories down! I've never before seen a mechanism where the machine gets pulled out of its box

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] At first I was skeptical because I didn’t know much about the LG products but I needed a large air conditioner and that was the only one available so I took a chance and bought it. when I got home I put it in the window. that was in June of this year and I have not shut it since. the thermostatic control is wonderful because it automatically goes up and down depending on how much cooling I need in the house. It keeps the house at a constant comfortable temperature. I am very satisfied and would recommend LG products to anyone

Cools Very Well; Get a Mini Split if You Can

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] So, I bought this to test out in our master suite for nighttime cooler temperatures. It's about 320 sq ft. Being a dual inverter, I was firstly disappointed by a few things because I've only used mini splits not a window unit. The fan motor is attached to the inside and outside fans and has only 3 speeds. I thought this was a bummer because the awesome thing about mini splits is their ability to ramp the fan down when it can. So, you just pick a fan speed (high, med, or low) and it stays there. Then, the compressor changes to accommodate the load. After the initial dual inverter disappointment expectations of the slightly loud fan, I noticed how awesome this unit works. It works best if you just set it at a temperature and leave it. It ramps up, cools off very quickly, then ramps down to a lower compressor speed and coasts along maintaining the room right where it is set. I know I got a unit that is a little bigger than I needed, but the 9,500 btu model was out of stock everywhere. But, it is able to ramp down to a low enough BTU that it stays running almost all the time. The extra btu is nice because it has been really hot and it supplements the central A/C and keeps the house cooler. So, overall, this unit works really well. The energy savings mode does have a noise problem when the pan is full of water. You get water sloshing around that can wake you up. The sleep mode is extremely quiet, but useless because a 4 degree rise in temperature is way to much and I wake up sweating. LG, please make sleep mode hold the temperature and keep the unit on instead of having it on a timer. So long as you use the regular modes, you're good to go. While running, the slinger fan is quiet inside and you just hear a constant air noise easy to sleep with. Don't get me wrong, this unit works and is very powerful, but it can for sure use some future upgrades. I imagine they needed to cut costs somewhere. I've just never lived with a window unit and I'm comparing it to a mini split. It works for our rental house where I cannot permanently install something.

Frustrated!!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Bought this unit to cool our cabin based on reviews; extremely disappointed while running fan hits the shrowd. Even went back to the store to do an exchange and the second one did the same thing. Cools really well but extremely noisy and annoying.

I had to save for months to buy this unit. I picked it because of all the great reviews but I bought it in June of 2020 and I tuy it on today and it will not blow cool air. I'm very disappointed. Now I will have to save for another unit and hopefully have it by summer. I do not recommend.

Quiet’s buuuuut wifi headache

MOST QUIET’S AC EVER. SOMETIMES I DONT KNOW IF ITS WORKING OR NOT. BUUUUUUT Ac needs the router next to it. I made a big mess to bring the router next to ac bcs keeps saying “getting the data” and after that “network not stable”. By bringing wifi router next to ac I reset my router by mistake just for that ac and I have a lot of equipments at home that use that router. I have been lucky 4 time to make it work . Such a headache. Dealing with this for 2 days. If anyone knows how to fix this let me know
