AC is in my kitchen. I was hoping it would cool my den as well. It does cool both rooms as i had hoped. It is quite, i don’t hear it.

Incredibly quiet

The word quiet doesn't even begin to describe how quiet this ac is! It is truly amazing. This is for an office setting and at day's end I'm never sure if the ac is even on (I always turn them off at night before leaving) if it wasn't for the room being cool. Works great and well worth the cost!

Nice features, takes a while to cool area down and the temp only goes down to 64. Works ok on high but to cool a large space on econ would take forever.

MY AC IS OFF - OH NO IT'S IN QUIET MODE

Replaced all my windows AC's with GE models. The 12K is for my living room. Usually I had to increase the volume of my TV or Radio when the old one kicked in. The past few days it has happened frequently I thought the unit was off as I had forgotten it was in quiet mode. And still the whole livingroom was nice and cool

Weak Output

After carefully measuring the room, we determined that this particular AC would be plenty, if not, more than enough BTUs needed for our living room. After installing, we found that the AC does not have a strong output to cool our living room. We actually have to wait awhile to cool the room. We had a previous 12,000BTU unit in our living room that gave us more than enough cooling and filled the room almost instantly. We ordered the same 12,000BTU unit and it takes forever to cool the room. I would not recommend this air conditioner unless you have a much smaller size room.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

My 5,000 BTU air conditioner worked better.

It says it cools a medium/large room, but it made it comfortable ish. My 5,000 BTU worked better then this did. It's highly disappointing. I wouldn't recommend this brand or air conditioner if you are trying to cool a large area, or even a medium sized bed room.
