Great a/c so far!

I got this window unit about a month ago to help cool the two rooms in the upper area of our house and it's done a great job so far!
Easy to install and crazy quiet. I knew this said it was quiet, but wow! I actually had to get used to hearing other little noises from the a/c as they're sounds I've never heard from window or wall units before as they were so noisy they got covered up. I've been running it mostly on eco/auto and it's been doing a great job. It's lightweight enough that my intention of installing it for summers, and reclaiming the window for fall through spring will be doable.

Cons: Nothing specifically that would make me want to return it or not buy it again, but the not-excellent things would be that the app can be a little finicky at times. There is a fair bit of vibration in our wall, so when I put it in next year I'll add more padding to help reduce that. It doesn't quite fit right in the vinyl window's slot in this house, so it sits up a little bit. I'm going to guess this is something with at least some vinyl windows as I'd presume it's a quite standard size on the a/c. It's still in there securely at least, and I added a piece of wood to be able to secure it additionally. And, because it is so quiet, if I'm near it I can hear a slight high pitched sound from it. It's more because I can hear those sounds easier than most as my husband doesn't notice anything.

Great product, not too loud, cools very good.
Bad thing is that remote is very basic and works only on a short distance (not good at all)
Control button on the AC also need improvement, not easy to control.
The app also needs work with temperature selection, too many steps to arrive anywhere...

It really hasn't been extremely hot & it doesn't cool, can't wait to see when it's extremely HOT.

Better than expected! Easy to install. The wifi feature is priceless. The app is amazing. It let you make shortcuts, see estimated consume, program schedules and and turno on and off the unit. Definitely will buy another one!

Great features, and very good value for the money. I've bought GE ac before and they are very durable and high quality appliances. I bought 2 for my kids and the wifi app gives me monitoring control even away from home

Room A/C with Great Features and WiFi ops.

Our first Window A/C. Love GE products that are mfg with inverter technology with Eco mode. The installation was straight forward however we have Anderson Windows which we had to add a length of wood for the sill for A/C support. Beyond that, it connected to WiFi easly. Its been 1.5 hrs since initiating power. Would recommed this product for any large room under 550 sq ft. Thank You GE for an exceptional design.
