The entire griddle surface rusted in less than 3 weeks even though the cover was down, the surface was cleaned after the couple of times I used it, and it was covered with a Weber cover. Weber wants to send me a new griddle part but I have seen several reviews that many other people have had the same problem.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

We absolutely love this griddle. I am amazed at how much we are using it as compared to our former bbq. It is far more versatile than a bbq, and so much easier to cook on. It was easy to assemble and works perfectly. Highly recommended!

Seasonning our griddle was the longest part before beginning to cook on it. Supper is cooked in a short period of time and cleaning is easy. Love that the house doesn't smell after cooking! I'm sure we will enjoy it especially during the winter months! I recommend watching videos not only recipes but on which tools you can buy as you will find there's lots of options and not all are a necessity. Bon appetit!

I got this end of season last year. I'm typically grilling on a kettle, but wanted a griddle to cook quickly on propane and in larger quantities. This fits the bill.

I purchased the griddle for my husband in December and assembled in the spring. He followed the QR code instructions to season the griddle and has been very careful about cleaning it after each use. The griddle is on a covered porch and constantly covered to protect it from the elements.
After only 5 uses, we found that the seasoning was peeling off in large sheets and the griddle was rusted. We have found a few videos teaching how to correct this problem, remove the seasoning and rust, and redo the seasoning. For the cost of this item, we do not feel this should have to be done after only a few uses. It is costly and time consuming.
Be aware that this big purchase will cost you even more in time!
