I recently purchased the 28" Griddle and I LOVE IT ! I have cooked pork chops, chicken sausages, haddock fish and last night beef fillets. I cooked various veggie combinations as well with all the meats. Everything turned out cooked to perfection and delicious ! So, juicy and moist !!!

Since my very recent purchase I will say that my Weber 28 inch grill was rather easy to assemble and that the griddle is a very clean and simplistic attractive design. Very strong and solid build in all respects. I bought it from one of the big box stores at a good price and delivery was quick. I also bought after first use an Infrared (IR) Laser Thermometer gun which is indispensable for accurate timed cooking; I highly recommend for any griddle owner. So far, the accuracy of temperature controls appears to be good and as advertised. The superior design of having the drip pan and cutout in the front left vs competitors toward the rear center is a game changer if your grill location has a wall behind it. Plus this drip pan is larger and far more accessible for emptying and cleaning with ease. I am closely monitoring heat consistency and how quickly the griddle adjusts to settings and will advise later in more comment. However, I am sure I will get good temp' reads and highly recommend the Weber griddle to anyone looking for greater diversity in large volume or small cooking for their families and guests, Veggies, meats, eggs, pancakes, all can be done at the same time, one surface. This griddle is fantastic! The only improvement I might suggest would be to have adjustable legs so that the griddle could be levelled on an uneven or sloped surface.

Basic griddle with removable lid. I have swapped out a 28inch basic flattop for this model and its build quailty is definitely better. I am partial to weber products as i own a gensis special edition and traveler for my rv. I wish i would have waited for the new weber flat top with rust resistant slate top...
