Easy to assemble, just read through directions first to familiarize yourself with the unit. Follow seasoning instructions. I added one more layer of oil to bake in. First batch still sticks a little, but just go slow. Use good quality spatulas with tapered edges. Two breakfasts and two griddled salmon filets later, I am very happy with this griddle.
So far it’s all we wanted. We started with some smash burgers that turned out great and even did a Korean BBQ. It heats fast and evenly. Can’t wait to do some steaks on it.
We love stir fried vegetables with chicken and refried rice with eggs. The grill maintains the temperature so everything cooks to perfection. What a wonderful dinner.
Great grill for the money. Lite 1, 2, or all 3 burners quick and easy. Precise temperature control, and very even heat across the grill. Cleans up easy.
Weber Figured It Out. 28 inch is the perfect size for my family of 3. Family size over 4, I would go bigger. The 3 burner is the secret, the competition only has 2 and the heating surface is really uneven. The Weber heating surface is as close to even I feel you can get. The grease trap on the Weber is superior to the industry and is clean and easy. Price is concerning, but like most things, you get what you pay for. The cover, which is sold separately, is well built but way too much money compared to other grill manufactures. I do know their covers last a long time, if they don't blow away that is.
I would recommend this to a friend!

1- season this griddle..high, then medium ..20 minutes Now .. Low .. Stop.. make sure to let the oil burn off.. ( meaning Smoking till Dry). Do Not shut off. Now light coating of oil. Use tongs. Turn the Heat up again.. Smoke it dry.. cool on low. Repeat. Repeat Repeat. I can’t stress this enough.. Clean by first scraping food particles into grease drip tray. Now take the squirt bottle filled with water with griddle on wall hit it with the water. It will steam off, boiling and wipe it down with your towels.. next while the grill is still on lol use your towels, paper towels and apply a thin, very thin coat of oil onto the griddle top and let it heat tillage try. Shut the thing off. Do not make the mistake of thinking this can be an overnight thing. This griddle top will take at least dozens of times to season it in and get it blackened After two months of using this, it performs amazingly good better than my Blackstone ever could EVEN heat distribution. A note get yourself a thermal gun. Because this thing is well over 500° on high you’re looking for a temperature of 360 to 400 from most applications which would put you in the range of medium to low on the controls...
I have very mixed feelings about this grill. I love the griddle, the sear it gets on meats and the ability to grill vegetables, BUT, I have seasoned the surface over 3 times now, and the surface still rusts. I reported the issue, and was given instructions on how to reclean and reseal it, which I have done now 2 additional times, but it still rusts. Weber has been a company I enjoy doing business with because they stand by their product, but in this case, I do not know what it will take to get a new grilling surface.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

We value your feedback and we are sorry for the frustration. Your satisfaction is very important to us.
The griddle surface will not rust if the seasoning is properly applied and the cooking surface is cleaned and maintained with a layer of oil after cooking. It sounds like your initial seasoning did not go as planned, and we are here to help!
