I purchased a 28" weber Griddle and have cooked about 5 different meals on it so far. Taking the time to properly season it in the beginning was worth the time invested to get a nonstick surface. I am having a blast cooking different foods, especially the fresh veggies available during the summer months. Breakfast items, Lunch items or Dinner items they are easy to create delicious and healthy food. I am so happy that I made my purchase and am enjoying so many flavorful foods on this griddle. I find the temperature range has been very consistent across the flat-top in each of my cooks so far. My only complaint is the 28" only has two wheels so to move it around you lift up the left side and maneuver it to where you want it. The 36" model comes with 4 wheels.
Customer service was excellent. They resolved an issue I thought I had with the griddle. Come to find out the griddle legs were not completely flat which made the griddle appear as if it was warped. It was not warped. Thank you Weber
Make sure you take the time to do the first step of seasoning your griddle, it is well worth the time! We have only owned it about 3 weeks now and love making bacon and eggs in the morning on it! We have made fajitas, filet mignon wrapped in bacon, ahi tuna steaks, and smash burgers! All turned out awesome and so much room on this griddle we love it! We ordered the cover, the smash burger utensil, the scraper (highly recommend) and the seasoning to put on the griddle after cleaning which I will use it up and just use canola oil after it is gone. You can fit a lot of food on this griddle much more than I had anticipated and it is actually a lot of fun using it and putting all ingredients on it for your entire meal! Great for family and friend entertaining for sure! One other thing, is if you go on the Weber website they have great recipes to try out and we are taking advantage of that also, thank you for such a great griddle!
This is a very good griddle. It looks and feels well built, albeit very plain. What would make it a great griddle are: four locking swivel casters and a hinged hood. The 36 inch version has both, but for some reason Weber cheated us “smaller” consumers out of those features. Folding shelves would have also made it better.
Works great, coating peels off the surface right away leaving a mess and causing you to have to re-season it all over again. But temp control and functionality is all good.
