What a disappointment this phone is. First off, isn't 5G suppose to be fast and reliable? My old Samsung 8 I had for 10 years was so much better. I live in Chicago and on my 8 never had a problem accessing the web, even on public transportation. With the A54 that's not happening, I'm lucky if I ever access the web, keep getting no connectivity message. Next, my calls sometimes go directly to voice mail, even if my settings are set up correctly. Then the message problems. The keyboard letters/numbers stick, there is a delay before they come up on the screen. When I send someone a message it gets "hijacked" and ends up at the bottom of someone elses thread. The T Mobile McAfee app wasn't working, I had to uninstall it and reinstall it to work. Some of these problems come and go, very annoying. I shouldn't have bought this phone at all. One more thjing, my scans always come up clean so I don't think I have a virus.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Hello Bumbleburger, thank you for taking time to share your thoughts with us about your Samsung Galaxy A54. We understand how important it is that your device function as designed and intended. If you are experiencing some slowness with your device we recommend adjusting the refresh rate in your settings app. Under display and motion smoothness you can adjust from standard to adaptive refresh rates. If you haven't done so already you can also reach out to your carrier to ensure not only cellular coverage but 5G specifically in your area. We have also included a link to the manual for your device that can show you the steps to adjust the network settings. We have also included a link to the Samsung Support Team to help you with the keyboard and messaging difficulties you mentioned. The smartphone has a long lasting battery. However, beside that, I feel my old Galaxy S9 do better. This phone is limited. It doesn't have heart rate sensors, auxiliar headphone jack, it even doesn't has MHL to connect the phone to your non-smart TV through HDMI.
It does accept large capacity Micro SD cards though.
