My 1st Speed Queen purchase, and it's been great! I'm giving an honest review, my personal opinion, the lint trap in my dryer is sometimes agrevating when I open the door to get clothes from my dryer, the lint in the trap gets on my clean dry clothes from it. So now I try to clean the lint trap before getting it the clothes out so that doesn't happen. Just a thought suggestion, maybe consider moving the lint trap on your new models.

Worth the hype

This is the second Speed Queen washer & dryer set I've purchased-because no one else in the industry backs their machines with a 7-year warranty. If I had an issue with my first washer or dryer, my local dealer came quickly to resolve the problem, no charge.
Since it had been several years since buying my last set, I did a lot of research before buying speed queen again...came to same conclusion as I did the first time. Recommend 100%.
I'm also happy that the dryer lint trap now has a removable cover that keeps clothes from falling into lint when you open dryer door. Previously, that was my only complaint with my older speed queen.
I've had front-load and a top-load impeller style washers that do not clean well AT ALL, and were unreliable. Wasted a lot of money over the years on other brands that left me with laundry piling up when they were out of commission.
Speed Queen's top load washer with agitator truly does get our clothes clean. The smaller capacity, compared to other models has not been an issue for my household because it cleans that much better.
This set pays for itself over a 7-year period, in my opinion!

It is great to have a dryer that really dries clothes! The last 2 sets I have purchased did not really dry things. The lint trap is great! I do wish it was easier to remove the lint. I have a little detail brush I use that gets it right out.
I would recommend this to a friend!

leaving marks on fabrics

I am so disappointed in this dryer. What is supposed to the best out there is leaving marks on our clothes. They say it's from too high of heat and use a different setting, so I can't use all of the settings it comes with?? They sent a service guy out who says it's a known problem with no fix. I emailed speed queen and got a generic reply telling us what we could be doing wrong.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
