Not a happy camper and here is why....

What I like - the light is bright, the control panel is set up nice, it matches my washer. It does dry the clothes.
Why I would return it if I could - The main settings - Heavy Duty, Regular, Perm Press, Delicates - don't dry my clothes correctly. They all have Dry, Near Dry, Less Dry and Damp. The last 3 of those list basically ALL leave your clothes damp. Dry OVER dries the clothes so they are crispy, it will get stuck at 5 min for 20 minutes and I have to manually stop the dryer. If you push the Regular button, which should be a default for me, it is medium heat, near dry for 68 min. WAY TO LONG! If I have 8 loads of laundry that day. You do the math. BUT it gets better. Dry is 74 min (1 hour 15 min!) Less dry is 23 AND damp is 37. How is damp more time than less dry??? BUT that is my special machine. See the attached pictures, which I can't upload. I have to keep revisiting my clothes in the dryer. I keep a chart going so I can figure out how to dry my laundry. I miss the old days of hit a button and go..come back to dry clothes. Why isn't there a good 40 min setting that lines up with the average wash time? I'm a very sad and frustrated customer. I paid SO much that I can't replace it right now.
Please note, the directions are useless. They don't explain how to use or what eco dry does. So I manually dry my clothes which does NOT have a dry sensor. Why not? Please make it make sense!!!

With Auto-Sensing, the time shown before starting the cycle is estimated by averaging the last 5 cycles run on the selected cycle/dryness combination. Meaning, the more you use these settings, the more accurate they get at meeting your specific laundry needs. However, if something isn't working the way it should be, we'll make it right. Huge regret buying

Had for about 2 months and its been a nightmare since day 1. Dryer worked very well the first dry a lot louder than expected especially for the price and the promises but I read it quiets down after awhile. Cool(sarcasm). Then my wife tried a second load. Wet clothes. Soaking wet actually because the washer also does a pretty terrible job at getting the water out during spin cycle. Ran it a couple more times. Checked with my meter after research that the fuse had blown for the heat safety. No problem though right? Because I paid extra to get the top model with the longest warranty. Tried to contact speed queen and put in a ticket for repair l. Said someone would be in contact withing 3 days. That was 3 weeks ago....the company I purchased from has a 50% restocking fee. Dont buy. They are over priced junk. And yes I checked and paid someone to clean my lint vent just for them to tell me its all clear.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Great machine

I love my new Speed Queen Dryer. The comfort in knowing I got a dryer that will last my family a long time with a great warranty means a lot. We are a large family with adult special needs and we do atleast two to three kids of laundry a day so have reliable washer and dryers that will last us more than 5-8 years is a big deal. Hoping to have this machine for atleast 10+ years.

Works great! Still learning how to use it but dries incredibly well! The Pet hair setting is nice and helps take hair off items prior to washing which helps keep hair out of the washer and off other clothes! I’d love it if Speed Queen had a tutorial video showing how to use all the various settings so I can feel even more confident how to get the best from this beast of a machine.

This is our second Speed Queen appliance. We have owned a commercial grade Speed Queen washer for around 10 years. We purchased the dryer based on our experience with our washer and Speed Queen's reputation for manufacturing durable, reliable, and dependable appliances. The dryer is a nice complement to our washer. Additionally, other companies don't build a quality product that lasts.
