Works great overall and dries clothes efficiently, i’m happy with the performance and capacity. One downside is the noise the roller bars make when it’s first started - it sounds like baseballs thumping around inside for a few minutes. I’ve heard they are looking into a fix.

Does not completely dry clothes

Dryer does not effectively dry my clothes and has a long drying cycle which is not energy efficient as I had hoped.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

My wife does laundry like its an Olympic sport. After having our last set of Whirlpool washer and dryer not even last 4 years it was time to invest on a set that will do what it's supposed to do when you want it to with peace of mind. If you have the money spend it once and you wont have to deal with costly repairs keeping brand new subpar junk running.

So Far, So Good - Glad I Made the Purchase

We have had these machines for a couple of months and so far they have lived up to their reputations. Sure they cost a little more, but seem well worth it. Clothes are clean and they run quietly. We haven’t used all the features yet. The proof of this being a great investment will be in the long term, and if they continue to perform as they do now.

Very loud

The dryer is extremely loud when it first starts up. At first, it was loud for about a minute. Now it’s several minutes. I guess I’ll have to test the warranty and service. I’ve only had it for less than 3 months.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

a great solid dryer. have not used steam yet as i am afraid it will shrink delicate natural fibers i was hoping to use it on. my only disappointment.

THESE WASHERS & DRYERS ARE BUILT LIKE "TANKS"

My wife and I purchased a Speed Queen Model #TR7000WN Washer back in December 2019 and it is performing as well today as it had when we first took delivery of it (6 years and counting). Recently, our Electric Dryer (not a Speed Queen/Alliance product) failed after several problematic years so we decided to compare a variety of models from several different major appliance manufacturers. We studied features, construction robustness, customer reviews, manufacturer reputation and warranty offerings. After completing our "due diligence" research we decided that the Speed Queen Model #DR7004WE Electric Dryer was the best choice overall - hands-down! The rich cycle features and flexibility along with the steam cycle component, heavy-duty no-nonsense construction and warranty (7 years!) coupled with the fact that it is manufactured right here in the United States of America all contributed to our ultimate decision, never-mind the trouble-free experience we continue to enjoy with our aforementioned washer. If you are on the market for a reliable "install it and forget it" ultra-reliable electric dryer - BUY ONE! You won't look back and regret your decision.
