I recently replaced my 10 yr old Electrolux dryer. This is by far a better dryer.

I bought my Speed Queen Dryer about one month ago. Both my prior washer/dryer were bought about 18 years ago. According to friends, any kind of new appliance bought recently will not last more than 5 years. How can this be allowed? Friend who had to replace recently-bought dryer recommended Speed Queen. Dealer showed me many different brands and his description of Speed Queen reminded me of my friends' description. So I've gone with Speed Queen. Hopefully it will last the rest of my life! And, by the way, I absolutely love the mister part of the dryer. It will save me lots of time...hoping to iron not so many pieces of wrinkled clothing!

PURCHASED BOTH my Speed Queen washer and dryer about a month ago. I couldn’t be happier!!! I had so much trouble with my previous washer that was only 3 years old. GREAT DECISION to switch to SPEED QUEEN!

It doesn't live up to the hype! The pet cycle comes out damp, and I have to dry it. I never put wet items in to begin with. The filter is tiny and not removable, and it's hard to clean.
In addition I think the dryer takes a very long time to dry a load of laundry.
I also suggest that the washer and dryer have a longer or more noticeable signal when the load is done.
