Built Sturdy and Feature Loaded

Well made units. I wanted a basic dial set washer and dryer, but ended up going with the electronic models due to the additional warranty. I don't like cheap technology, and these seem to be built for longevity. We use SpeedQueen commercial models some are 20 years old used daily, they seldom require maintenance,
only scheduled. which is testament to Speed Queen. Unlike cheap residential models they can be rebuilt and are worth fixing. American made and non disposable should be the goal for corporations when it comes to vehicles and appliances, foreign made garbage ends up in landfills leeching into the ground water. I'm not an environmentalist but CEOs need to be slapped awake in the US. Speed Queen needs to hold the line and keep producing quality appliances! I sincerely hope my home units are on par with the commercial models we use. I grew up using a 50 year old washer, it still runs. Upgrading an appliance should be driven by features not a disposable lifespan, we have to realize our consumer habits will end up destroying our landscapes otherwise. We only have one Earth, and our children deserve better.

Poor washing results and burnt clothes

I have owned my product less than a month and have not been able to find the right combinations of soap and process to get good results out of the washing machine even following the instructions in the user manual does not produce good results and I’ve had to have a service call on the drying machine as the delicate cycle burns clothes.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

I'm sorry I chose the Speed Queen - DR7004WE

I purchased the Speed Queen - DR7004WE believing I would be able to have more adjustable choices and the steam function seemed like a great idea. Little did I know that it needed to have a hose connected to a cold water line. I thought that the steam function was dealt with the dampness of the clothes in the dryer. When the appliance dealer hooked up the machine with their hose they didn't tighten it quite enough and there may have been a problem with the hose but it leaked. I only do laundry once a week in a room that my husband mainly uses. I did laundry twice in three weeks before I saw the black and pink mold on the wall behind the dryer. What a mess and it took three weeks to get a contractor in to clean it up and dry it out and repair it. The applicant dealer wouldn't be helpful, their insurance has been any better and I'm still waiting on this claim. We paid out of pocket so our insurance wouldn't ding us even though it wasn't our fault in any way. I'm disappointed in the whole machine. It isn't as easy or variable as I thought it was and I would have been a whole lot better off with the less expensive one. The appliance store was less than helpful through this whole thing.

I have had my dryer less than 3 months. I’m not happy. I have to dry everything on high. I have to put high heat and I extra dry up to 2 times and sometimes 3. I have never had a problem with a brand new product
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
