I purchased the matching dryer to the washer. I did not even need a new dryer, but when buying the washer, I decided to buy the pair. I am happy with controls and like the "steam" idea.

Just moved into a brand new house and purchased Speed Queen again after having a pair for 8 years with no problems whatsoever. The new models are even better.

Best machine I have purchased!

So far, this machine has been better than my previous purchases. The drum light is brighter, and overall it dries clothes as it should. Easy to use control panel.

Our clothes are SO much cleaner than before!! We had a front load samsung and these speed queens are leaps and bounds better built and does a better job!

I am glad the door could be attached either direction, great for throwing laundry in with no hassle. The timer is very efficient. I like the pet choice to get some of the hair off before washing. 60 minutes usually is just enough for my loads.

Poor washing results and burnt clothes

I have owned my product less than a month and have not been able to find the right combinations of soap and process to get good results out of the washing machine even following the instructions in the user manual does not produce good results and I’ve had to have a service call on the drying machine as the delicate cycle burns clothes.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

I'm sorry I chose the Speed Queen - DR7004WE

I purchased the Speed Queen - DR7004WE believing I would be able to have more adjustable choices and the steam function seemed like a great idea. Little did I know that it needed to have a hose connected to a cold water line. I thought that the steam function was dealt with the dampness of the clothes in the dryer. When the appliance dealer hooked up the machine with their hose they didn't tighten it quite enough and there may have been a problem with the hose but it leaked. I only do laundry once a week in a room that my husband mainly uses. I did laundry twice in three weeks before I saw the black and pink mold on the wall behind the dryer. What a mess and it took three weeks to get a contractor in to clean it up and dry it out and repair it. The applicant dealer wouldn't be helpful, their insurance has been any better and I'm still waiting on this claim. We paid out of pocket so our insurance wouldn't ding us even though it wasn't our fault in any way. I'm disappointed in the whole machine. It isn't as easy or variable as I thought it was and I would have been a whole lot better off with the less expensive one. The appliance store was less than helpful through this whole thing.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
