Doesn’t help with hot flushes. Cooling cycle is a few seconds of cool (feels a bit like electric shock) followed by a rather long stretch of warm, then a bit of cool, long wait for another cool burst, etc. Using it to get warm did not work for me.

Love it! I’m surprised how well it works. Customer service is great. My band broke and within minutes of contacting them a new one was in the mail. The unit does seem to get warm, when running continuously. I definitely recommend for anyone with hot flashes. I still get hot flashes but it takes the crazy rip your clothes /blankets off frustration away. can’t wait for an upgrade to make the unit slimmer.

I can’t take hormones to address my hot flashes, and I appreciate having a tool that helps take the edge off of them when they happen. There have also been many times that I have used my Embr Wave 2 to warm me in a cool meeting room. Double benefits!

Disappointing

So I had the first version of the Embr Wave and now have the Wave 2. I had high hopes that this one would perform better than the original, but for me, it does not. I will say that I am likely at the extreme end of "easily overheats" so I use the Wave mostly as a cooling device and, unfortunately, it only helps me ever so slightly. I wear it all the time and use it for cooling anytime it gets over about 74 degrees but again, the warmer it gets (and I get), the less impact the Wave has on me. I also feel that the Milanese band is too small for the Wave as it has nearly fallen off my arm several times because the too-small band just isn't strong enough to hold it if it catches on anything and when it does, the band can easily slip all the way through the clasp on the device and fall off. I also have a Milanese band on my Apple Watch, which is wider than the one on the Wave, and it works far better than the Wave's. Also, the Apple band will not pass through the end of the watch clasp and therefore will not accidentally fall off my arm if it were to catch on something and come loose.
In summation, I guess I'll just have to wait for the Embr Tidal Wave (or Embr Sleeve) with a much larger cooling area in the device for true over-heaters, like me. And, hey Embr, I expect some kind of royalties for that device's new name, when you finally release it (please release it!) ;)
