Hard to please and convinced it is worth it!

I generally love my Embr Wave 2! To me, the wave works as a welcome distraction from the discomfort of the too-hot sensation I’m having everywhere, and it gives me something to focus my attention on. That really makes it worth it to me! Maybe it does also help with the general intensity, but I haven’t noticed that as much. I crave it because it is a help, even if it is subtle. I have been wearing it day and night for three weeks now, and use it mainly for relief from hot flashes, and from warm afternoons in my Hawaii home. I love that the battery lasts about a week despite multiple uses per day and night!
I would like a couple nice-to-have features, like specifying which program I want as my default cool program and being able to set different cool programs on the buttons instead of just which one does the default cool and default warm. I would also love love love to set the duration of each individual cool wave more, especially the first one. I thought the app may lend some of those features, but it only does very basic customization.
My only physical design challenge has been with scratching the face up since I spend so much time typing, but since it’s worn and the inside of the wrist it doesn’t show much, except to me. I also wish I could switch up bands more, but that is quite minor. Waterproofing would be great as well. I understand it is water resistant, but almost have jumped in the water with it a few times and that would be a costly and sad mistake.

This is the best money I have ever spent! Worth every penny! This is MAGIC for hot flashes. It seems to have such a cumulative effect for me that I can go for a whole day without getting hot flashes when I’m NOT wearing it. Amazing! Wonderful! Perfect! Magic! I recommend it to everyone I know. Thank you EmbrWave! This has saved my sanity.

Battery gets hot like cellphones and that cancels the cooling effect.

My device may be defective, but the entire metal surface heats up when the cold feature is turned on. I do not use the warming feature. The whole thing, except for the plate on the skin side gets too hot to wear while the cooling is on. This makes no sense! What an expensive mess.

I honestly was hoping that this would help with my annoying hot flashes, but unfortunately it doesn't, for some reason, when I start my hot flashes cooling session the embr wave 2 fluctuates between cool and cool and it makes my hot flashes worse, the same thing happens during the night while im sleeping, making me still reaching out for my fan. This device is pretty expensive and I had high hopes for it, but unfortunately it is not doing anything for me and I'm not going to keep it.

I am finding that I can “nip” hot flashes “in the bud”. My Ember Wave 2 doesn’t take away Hot flashes but if I push the cooling button upon onset of flash, it will not develop into full-on hot flash. I am happy with the device. However, EmberLabs, you can do better when it comes to the band. There needs to be a band that withstands sweat and dirt better. Maybe a rubber- type, easily washed band. And, a band design that is easier to switch out. Think “Apple Watch”. I have experienced my band smelling like wet tarnishing metal or the comfort band smelling sweaty or sour. Work on the band and the whole package will be much better! Thanks
