Works while I’m sleepkng

I wore it for 2 weeks every night to bed to ward off hot flashes. Wasn’t sure if it was working, then the first night I decided to MOT wear it, I woke up having sweat through my pajamas. So I’m sold! Keeps hot flashes away while I sleep without me even knowing it. Great product!

Slippery band makes placement tough

Feeling a bit sheepish having spent this much on something that just won’t stay put. It slides all over my wrist and the band pops off at the face connection whenever I tighten it down. Maybe I just need to buy a band similar to the Apple Watch-one that is rubbery and sticks to your skin. I am not sure if that is an availability? It cools (and warms) nicely when it’s in the correct position-it just doesn’t stay there.

Amazing relief!

I am in LOVE with this device! I am perimenopausal and was having hot flashes, especially at night. Most of the time, however, I am cold and uncomfortable. This device quels my hot flashes quickly and takes the chill off when I'm feeling chilly. It is amazingly convenient to have that relief at the push of a button. There are some days I go to work having forgotten to put it on and I miss it all day. The only time I take this off is to charge and shower (which happens at the same time). I would highly recommended this device for anyone with chills or hot flashes!

I really like the Ember wave it is easy to use and it really helps regular your body temperature. I am glad I have this and I recommend this device. It is made very well and I really like the band and is easy to put on.

There are a lot of smart updates with the Embr 2. It is smaller, doesn’t have obtrusive lights, and is somewhat less sensitizing to the skin (I’m aware of that detail because I seem to have permanently oversensitized the skin on my left wrist with Embr1 several years ago and so can only use my right wrist). Related to the last point, the buttons on the Embr2 make it hard to accidentally increase or decrease the intensity. I can only safely use the mildest temperature settings due to nervous system sensitivity, so this is really important for me. And the new app saves not only your default setting but also your default temperature instead of using the last temperature the unit was on. This also makes it much easier to keep the unit at the setting you had intended. I also like that you can choose for both of your presets (which correlate to the buttons) to be cooling or both to be heating. That would be very useful for someone who’s using the cooling both day and night for hormonal issues and who wants one button to be alert and one button to be relaxing. On account of illness temperature regulation is very difficult for me, and that little bit really helps me manage things. I have a little heat or cool on to go to sleep. And then in the middle of the night I both turn the thermostat down and turn the Embr cooling on bc by then I’m quite hot. It helps me not have to depend on the HVAC quite as excessively and helps me make small adjustments from bed. It also helps me sleep. In fact that’s become the most essential of its benefits. My real frustration, then, is that, despite making requests back in the Embr1 era, the app still does not let you set the “fall asleep” mode for longer than one hour. The regular sleep mode does nothing to help me sleep, perhaps because the temperature setting I am able to tolerate is so mild that the occasional waves don’t really register for relaxation. I want to be able to use the “fall asleep” mode for four hours, especially in the second half of the night when I could use the extra help. The battery life should be sufficient for this on the low temperature setting, but the app still hasn’t budged in making this available. The actual hardware of the unit seems to be a practical improvement in that it eliminated a weak point in the Embr1 that kept breaking for me. I just long for the app to be updated with a long fall asleep mode. I also like that this unit wouldn’t be embarrassing to have on in public due to its smaller size and unobtrusive lights.

I was doubtful this would work but it does! I’m so happy I tried it. I wear it all the time, even at night. The key is to have it right on your pulse area and to start it the second you feel the hot flash start. It stops the hot flash in its tracks! It doesn’t work as well if you are in a full blown hot flash. My only complaint is that the magnetic closure on the band does not stay tight enough to keep it right on my pulse area. I have to adjust placement often.

Best surprise ever, it really works !! After years of unbelievable hot flushes, not flashes but , FLUSHES, embarrassing wettness..... Finally a solution, Embr. Wave 2. I only take it off to shower !! Best invention Ever. I live in the Northeast and it also helps for warming up your body when you get chilled
