I bought this for my wife to combat her hot flashes from her recent fight with breast cancer. I was skeptical at first but wanted to do something to help her. She loves this device and says it works as described. She wears it all the time except at night. Thank you Embr team for developing this device to help my wife get through hot flashes.

2 time Breast Cancer Survivor

I started with Night sweats and hot flashes at the age of 42 after going through breast cancer at the age of 37. Then again at 60. But, this time they put me on an aromatase inhibitor, which one of the top side effects is…Hot Flashes. I got my Embr Wave 2 about a month ago, and I can’t say enough good things about it! It has changed the way I sleep. I’m not waking up soaked in the middle of the night anymore, and during the day it stops the hot flashes from getting out of control. I have recommended this product to all my friends and colleagues. Wish I would have found this product 25 years ago!

My only complaints are that it scratches too easily and the heat from it when it’s working, even when cooling. While I completely understand it gets hot because it’s working it’s counterproductive when being used for cooling especially during an intense hot flash. It would be great if the technology could be more advanced to combat that.

When I first got the wave I wasn’t sure if it was going to work for my hot flashes because sometimes they are so bad. After about 3 weeks I’m very happy with it . At night it really helps me sleep.

Improved sleep and lower intensity hot flashes

The Wave 2 takes time to get used to, and you do need to experiment with options to see what works best. I use it mainly at night to reduce the intensity of hot flashes. It has definitely helped and my Garmin shows less awake time and less movement (usually caused by a hot flash).
There are a few things that could be improved like the charging method, the size, it gets hot running overnight and you can't override the presets if you need a quick relief cold burst. Overall it is a 3.5 / 5 so far. Good but not great

It slides around a lot so the fit isn't fabulous; I feel the coolness but I don't really feel relief from the hot flashes overall. It's pretty.
