It works with any kitchenaid fridge model and it’s suppose to last for at least a few months. I’d buy it once I’m done using mine.

High quality filter

The KitchenAid Water Filter 4-KAD4RXD1 is clearly better than the one I had previously installed in my refrigerator, that is clear. I could tell the difference in the taste of the water right away, which makes me wonder what exactly I may have been drinking before I got this one. Sure this filter is quite expensive in comparison to the alternatives, but at this point, I believe it is worth the extra cost to be sure you and your family are drinking good clean water.
