Ordered the filter and saw the single review. Can I verify that this filter is actually doing what its suppose to do so that the end result is clean drinkable water?

Filter Works Well

After reading a previous review, I decided to test my water quality using this filter. Using a TDS tester, the KitchenAid water was 41 ppm, tap water was 66 ppm and bottled Icelandic Alkaline water was 56 ppm. I was pleasantly surprised that my filtered water using from the refrigerator was so good. Happy to know this!
I would recommend this to a friend!

Website is junk, products are (now) junk

I really tried to order a water filter but after I entered ordered all of information, the website just spun a circle for about half a second and stayed on the same page. I am done with KitchenAid. This used to be a dependable company but my guess is that in the pursuit of cutting costs, you damaged your company products and reputation. I am done - I will never buy another KitchenAid product. (Oh, my rant goes far beyond the problem of ordering a water filter. Your products are not what they used be and this was the final straw.)
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Limited life?

I had these new cartridge filters installed in January following the appliance repair and instructions to only use these OEM filters. Stare pressure now low again as before repair so either this filter only lasted from Jan-April or the repair did not work?

Great Tasting Water

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This water filter is the best! First of all, it is so easy to install. It takes about 10 minutes total and is very beginner-friendly. Second of all, it makes the water taste so clean and fresh. I love that it removes lead and other contaminates. It lasts about 6 months for us with extensive daily use.

Fool proof install

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Pretty simple filter replacement overall. Once you open the filter door, the filter has the arrows in which direction to rotate for removal and install. The new one had packaging that was simple to remove, open and install. After running the recommended water through it, the was tastes good, once it cooled down it was nice and crisp!
