Water filter

The water filter don’t last long and we only use it for the ice but have no choice but to buy it very expensive.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

I am going to give another a try... but this filter blinded super fast. Maybe lasted 1 mos.

The worst fridge I have ever owned

The filter for this fridge last only 2 weeks and the water pressure drop drastically. I replaced with another new filter it lasted close to 1 month it did the same thing. I will put this fridge in the basement for storing extra food and I will buy Samsung or LG fridge.

I have change the filter #I I 3 times in 2 months

The filters do not work properly, estart working good and after 2 or 3 days the water reduced the flaw until not more

Useless scam

This filter is useless for tap water. It works OK for a week or so, then the flow quickly slows down - after two weeks you need 5 min or so to fill a cup of water. It shameless of Whirlpool to sell such useless product and to claim it's supposed to last 6 months. I guess they use distilled water to test their filter, not real tap drinking water.

Obnoxiously expensive

This is an obnoxiously expensive product that is apparently intended to make even non-"smart" refrigerators into subscription products for Whirlpool's benefit—not the consumer's.

I’ve been using this filter in my refrigerator/freezer door for at least twenty years. I replace it every six months. I have no idea what these other people are talking about when they say their water flow slows down. Mine is consistent from day one to the the last day when I replace it after six months. My water always tastes good. We like it better than the water from my reverse osmosis filter I have at my kitchen sink. It’s filtering out contaminants and that’s it’s job. I have no problem with it. I wish it would last a year.
I would recommend this to a friend!

I installed the new water filter in my refrigerator, and now I cannot use the water or ice dispenser at all!
