Great machine, expensive cartridges

I work at home and my company provided me with this machine as a replacement for the MFC-J5830DW. I need a machine that can print on 17 x 11 paper on occasion. To me, the machines seem virtually identical, except the cartridges for the MFC-J5340DW are about twice as expensive and not as many vendors carry them. While this machine prints fast and has great quality for business use, I would rather highly recommend the MFC-J5830 due to economy of use instead. It is the best machine I have used over the past 30 years.

BROTHER QUALITY

I bought a MFC-J4110DW over five years ago and decided it was time to upgrade. Very happy with BROTHER. Found no reason to change. The new MFC-J5340DW is everything I was looking for in a multi-function printer. Excellent speed and print quality. Would have liked the possibility to scan recto/verso but that is reserved only for the top of the line.

Almost a five star

I purchased this printer to replace a similar HP printer that died and I like this one much better. It is faster and has a nice single sheet feeder. Print quality is excellent. So far I've used it for one month (about 250 pages) and it has worked very well. So, why did I say "almost 5 stars"? It does lack one feature that would make it a full five stars but its lack doesn't warrant taking off a full star. The ADF doesn't allow for two side copying. You can do two sided copying by hand but it would be nice if one could stick 2-sided originals in the ADF and have it produce two sided copy.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] So when i first saw a picture of the printer it looked nice and i liked how it looked so i got it. Once i received it i didnt realize how big it was gonna be , but its big still nice and it prints fast no lag like my old printers have been best part is it came right around the time my old one broke
I would recommend this to a friend!

Fantastic Printer

I love how it’s all wireless so you can connect it to your wifi and do Mobil printing! The design is so nice, looks perfect for your office.. it’s not to heavy either. It is easy to use and has been a great addition to my working needs!
