There is not a defined ,edge on this mattress. It is rounded and I must make myself feel for the side every time I turn over to make sure I won't roll out of bed.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

BEST mattress EVER

My husband and I had a Tempurpedic for more than 10 years (yes, it outlived the expected lifespan). When we finally had to let it go we really didn't have the money to purchase a new one. I went to a local retailer and bought a well-known name brand mattress. It took time to get it due to the pandemic and what a disappointment when it arrived. It failed within 30 days and the retailer had it replaced. Same song, second verse... after mattress #2 we were both in severe back pain. I had neck surgery months before and couldn't sleep on the mattress due to the discomfort. At this point neither the retailer nor the manufacturer would help us. I had measurements and pictures but go nowhere. We bit the bullet and bought our TempurPedic. We have never looked back. We have been sleeping well since night 1. I will NEVER make that mistake again and waste hard earned money on a company that is making substandard products that endanger the wellbeing of their customers. Shame on you Serta and THANK YOU TemperPedic!

Great night sleep from day one! We've had the mattress a week now and love it. No more aches and pains in the morning. The medium firmness is the perfect comfort for us and it does not sleep warm like other reviews have noted. I'm just sorry we waited so long to purchase.

Comfortable and pressure point relieving

I was looking for a mattress that would be best for a side sleeper. I did lots of research and was just not comfortable purchasing a mattress on line without trying. That seemed like too much hassle, especially since I would have an unused mattress and no way to dispose of it. I spent at least a half hour laying on this mattress in the store and it felt good. Now that I have been sleeping on it for about 3 weeks I can vouch for the comfort firsthand. It really eliminated pain associated with pressure on my hips and shoulders. I had a conventional mattress and this is a marked improvement. I had a tempurpedic mattress long ago when they first came out but this one is superior to the older models. They have really improved it and it's worth the price to get a pain free good nights sleep!
